hCG for Weight Loss - Is it Legal?
Q: I have been told that hCG was taken off of the market for weight
loss. I have been in touch with a clinic in Florida that offers the injectable hCG
for weight loss and I would REALLY like to try it…… Does anyone have any
information on this and is it legal..??
Thanks!
T.
A: First of all, it is definitely legal to use HCG for weight loss. Where you may have been misinformed is that HCG is not APPROVED for weight loss by the FDA. The reason it is not approved is because the double blind studies they did were inconclusive. Speaking from experience, the HCG weight loss program used by European Weight Loss has worked for everyone who follows the program’s guidelines. So far there haven’t been any complaints or failures. As long as clients take advantage of the maintenance part of the hCG diet program, no one has regained their pre-treatment weight.
One clinic in Florida is Transformations. They seem like a good weight loss facility. As of current, they DO NOT use the original Simeon’s Formula HCG injections or the diet. (Please note, they could change this so ask when contacting them.) Their clients are placed on an 800 calorie program. Their weight loss is 2-3 pounds per week. They also rely on diet pills to suppress their client’s appetites. Most physicians and practitioners do not recommend appetite suppressants on the hCG diet plan because there is the possibility of increased appetite once the pills are discontinued. Also, because the Simeon’s hCG protocol slightly raises and maintains the blood sugar, diet pills are an unnecessary expense. If I were you, go for it. They have a good operation and show a real concern for their clients. Meredith- European Weight Loss
