Female
Viagra Is An Urban Myth That
Just
May Come True
By Kalwant Rana
In 1988 sex lives for men received a
major boost with the arrival of Pfizer's Viagra. But
what about women? Surely there should have been a female
Viagra, I mean don't women need some kind of marital
aid?
It has been found that 43% of women
suffer with female sexual dysfunction - this compares
with 31 percent of the male population suffering male
sexual dysfunction. The call for a female Viagra is huge
- and even more so than men!
Is there a Female Viagra?
Pfizer's 'Viagra' for men is made to
increase blood flow to the genitals. This is the
pharmaceutical product Viagra that we all know and it
works well for male impotence - or erectile dysfunction.
But how about for women? Well fascinatingly, in tests
Viagra-like drugs have also seemed to help about 20
percent of women with female sexual dysfunction - that's
to say, in the case where the woman concerned is having
difficulties with lubrication (blood flow to the female
genitals increases lubrication). Mmmmmm, interesting
huh?
At present there are no
pharmaceutical female Viagra drugs on the market.
However, that will most likely change over the next few
years as many drug companies race to develop female
Viagra for what they know will be a massive and
lucrative market. At the moment, they are focused on
developing a drug that increases blood flow to the
female genitals, resulting in vaginal lubrication and
relaxing vaginal muscles.
There are however, alternatives:
There are two main female Viagra
preparations available. The first of which are the
libido-booster supplements. Libido-booster supplements
enhance the circulatory system, balance hormones,
improve the reproductive system and to create a feeling
of wellbeing. The majority of women report positive
effects after only about a week or two of taking
libido-booster supplements. The other herbal female
Viagra option is female Viagra cream. Female Viagra
Cream is basically a female arousal cream - when applied
improves blood flow and dilation of the blood vessels
around the clitoris, thus greatly heightening
sensitivity and arousal. The reaction time is usually
quite quick and the effect further enhanced with
stimulation.
Herbal female Viagra is becoming a
booming segment of the natural supplement market that's
more popular than ever. Unlike prescription medications,
these natural supplements have no side effects and can
be obtained without a prescription. Due to their claimed
safety and efficacy, natural supplements are the number
one choice today among women seeking to improve their
libido and sexual pleasure.
'Herbal' Female Viagra
Using herbs and nutrients to increase
women's sex drives and pleasure is nothing new. For many
years, folk medicine and naturopathic healing have used
many ingredients to address women's declining sexuality
due to fatigue, stress, dietary deficiency, aging,
hormonal changes or emotional upset.
The following natural herbs are
examples of some of the ingredients used in female
Viagra preparations. They all possess a sexual libido
characteristic which when used in combination create a
wholesome & holistic answer to female sexual
dysfunction.
Damiana Leaf - Folium Turneraceae.
Herb from the subtropics that counteracts constant loss
of sexual power. Damiana has a reputation as a powerful
woman's herb with its progesteronic action and powerful
aphrodisiac properties. It acts as a tonic to the
central nervous system, urinary, reproductive,
digestive, and respiratory systems. Damiana is also
useful in the treatment of vaginal dryness.
Suma Root - Radix Pfaffiae
Paniculatae. Suma root contains an astounding 152
identified compounds containing the nutritive value of
19 amino acids and many minerals and vitamins. Suma is
an exceptional natural neuroendocrine restorative,
metabolic regulator, antioxidant and immune enhancer.
Suma restores the endocrine and immune systems, and also
increases estrogens and androgens.
Wild Yam - Rhizoma Dioscorea Villosae.
Wild Yam is also called Mexican Wild Yam or Colic Root.
It helps balance human hormone production, enhances a
woman's sexual energy. Wild Yam also contains diosgenin,
a steroid-like substance that when used in small doses
in its natural form, increases fertility.
Ginkgo Biloba. Increases moisture
retention in the upper layers of the skin, and soothes
irritation. Improves circulation and vasodilation.
Ginkgo is also an antioxidant helpful against free
radicals, substances that damage cellular health and
speed up aging from both internal and environmental
toxins. The gingko leaf is one of the best herbs
available for encouraging blood flow and oxygenation
throughout the entire body.
