After your hCG Diet Phase 3 you can include some items and see how they affect you. Remember if you gain more then 3 pounds then do a Steak Day and also cut the foods that may be causing your gain.

Another good rule is limiting dairy and really watching your how your digestive system reacts.

Add foods back slow to better judge if they are working for you or not.

The idea here is to develop your personal list of foods that make you feel great and maintain your weight.

Starchy Vegetables
Acorn Squash
Carrots
White Potatoes
Yams

Legumes
Black Beans
Chickpeas
Great Northern Beans
Kidney Beans
Lentils
Lima Beans
Navy Beans
Pinto Beans

Fruit
Any fruit is allowed in P4

Grains
Oatmeal
Pasta (whole wheat)
Rice (brown)

Remember, anytime you are more than 2 pounds above the weight of the day you last took hcg, you need to do a steak day. This is a lifetime correction day.

  3. I have started phase 3 i week ago and am continually gaining a pound a day. I only have added in lettuce salads and cauliflower mash. I don’t know how to get my body to stabilize. I calculated that i am only eating around 700 calories a day and less than 15 carbs.
    Any suggestions?

“Phase 3 lasts 3 weeks. . . . This phase is designed to reset the hypothalamus and bodyweight set point. This is an important phase that keeps the weight off permanently. Succesful execution and completion of this phase resets your metabolism higher, resets your hunger lower, and resets your hypothalamus so that in the future it does not store fat in the abnormal problem area secure fat reserves. This phase helps guarantee that your body is corrected from the abnormal condition which caused the obesity.” Kevin Trudeau, “The Weight Loss Cure” page 75

During this phase, it is recommended that you avoid starches and sugars. Eat a minimum of 1500 calories a day. You are retraining your Hypothalamus, and you don’t want to have to exist on 1200 calories a day the rest of your life. Eat plenty of protein–this is very important. As long as you avoid starches and sugars, you can indulge in more fat and even a small quantity of alcohol [like a glass of wine]. BUT–adding starches or sugars to this will most likely make things get “out of hand”.

“Simeons noted that some patients become overly enthusiastic after the success they achieved during Phase 2. These patients do not believe they can eat normal amounts of food six times per day without regaining weight. They disregard the advice to eat anything they please (with the short list of exceptions) and want to play it safe. They try, more or less, to continue the low calorie diet from Phase 2 with minor variations. To their horror they find that their weight actually goes up.” Kevin Trudeau in “The Weight Loss Cure” page 103
