Hi all...my friend IDYGEKO posted this a few years ago and it still makes me smile, and laugh and long for a whale's penis!!!!!!
COURTESY OF VAMPKISSES: I use to think 10, 15, 20 pounds was not a lot, but I was forwarded a weight comparison chart, and I think it helps with small losses, and knowing every pound is something!
1 pound = a Guinea Pig
1.5 pounds = a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts
2 pounds = a rack of baby back ribs
3 pounds = an
Well I am paying the piper today. Gained 1.2 (sure hope some of it is water weight.....) because I stayed on protocol.....kinda. Had three small pieces of lamb and asparagus.....NO mashed potatoes, NO schnitzel with feta, basil, tomato and olive oil, NO slow roasted peas with basil, NO crostini, and best of all NOOOO cherry pie a la mode...but YES WINE!!!!! Last summer we drove up to Napa and went wine tasting all over the place. In one small, quaint vineyard we bought the most delicious Red
Up and downs today.....First LOVELY Down on the scale.....second fantastic UP..Survivor starts tonight....Maybe a slight down.....Have to go to the market to buy Rack of Lamb (with a fresh gremolata) and schnitzel makings with feta cheese, tomatoes, and basil, makings for mashed potatoes, and of course my famous creme brulee ALL THE WHILE STAYING ON PROTOCOL!!!!!! As long as I have sons who's girlfriends are out of town and they have no one to spend VD with, then they will be at Mama's table eating
Thinking about warmer days!
I am only down 3.4 pounds this week (yeah I know compared to any other diet....) and I am not complaining because the total loss in 23 days is 21.8!!! And that is FANTASTIC. But what I wanted to share is that I have never measured myself. I just thought that as long as my clothes were getting looser then inches must be coming off. This is the first round that I have not continued to go to the gym...am walking, doing regular stuff....but have not gone back to the gym yet. BUT because I was
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. I am a happy woman. VCLD 14 and I am 16.4 pounds down. Life is good. I am a little upset I never measured because I read in these blogs about everyone's inches that have melted away and it would have been interesting....but you won't hear a complaint from me!
Starting a new painting on Monday, and my one and only grandson is coming to visit his "yaya"!
Just wanted to say Hi to an ol friend. CURVYGIRL!!!!! It is so fun to see you back here with me. I hadn't been back since 2011 when we did this. Looking forward to taking this trip with you! I am on the P2 for 11 days (VLCD 9) and have lost 13.4 already so it working! Glad to see you back, friend.
Down another 2 pounds today and closing in on the end of the first week! Wow that went by fast. Know the scales will start slowing down but what a great start it has given me. It is extremely encouraging! I know by now to stay strong even when the scales are stubborn, but for now I feel great that I went upstairs to paint while everyone else was BBQ and baking potatoes and sipping on some cocktails. Don't cry for me Argentina....I lost another 2 pounds AND got the base coat of my new painting
This is such a great diet....for me. Day 5 of VLCD and 10.2 pounds gone. (lost another 2 lbs on today's scale) Of course I know that you lose crazy amounts in the first week and am prepared to see much smaller losses in the weeks to come, but sure am loving it today! Even started painting again. This is the last painting I did before my parents died and never wanted to get back to the canvas again, but life seems a little brighter (she said while it was raining in Malibu today) so
dropped 3.6 today!!!! (and not constipated! hehehhe) The first two rounds I had consistent drops of 3.2 and 3.6 (a day) in the first week but had not seen it this third round....until today! It feels great. Now the boring meal plan for today does not seem that bad at all. Three cheers for Smooth Move tea!
