Phase 4 Day 4
So, it has been some time since I blogged. I have been hiding out because I have been struggling a bit. But, in the evidence of full disclosure, I thought I would update my blog.
I started Phase 3 on June 30, 2012. My last injection weight was 186.2. I am on day 4 of Phase 4 today and my weight is steady at 186.4. However, getting to the point of stabilization was a bit traumatic during my first couple weeks of Phase 3.
The HCG Protocol has been a miracle for me. I began this journey at 296 pounds. I have lost 110 pounds. I would like to do one more round and get to about 150ish.
Here is some other data about my journey. …I am a data girl, you know. ;-)

Before I began to loose weight, my doctor said I was a diabetic in training. My insulin was high, and my glucose was high. I was on blood pressure medication three times a day. My blood pressure was still 140/95 give or take. My knees hurt, my hips hurt, and my back hurt. I will be 40 this fall. I already have osteopenia in my low back and pelvis. My neck is either locked up or hurts. My feet and toes were so tender that the slightest bump caused excruciating pain.
I just had a follow up blood test. The results were interesting. My insulin and glucose were both perfect. My cholesterol was perfect. I have been taken off my blood pressure meds…all of them. My blood pressure has been running 180/120 to as low as 110/65. All of my joint pain is pretty much gone. I sleep better. My hips and arms no longer go to sleep when I am lying down. I no longer snore. I NO LONGER SNORE!!!!! Can I just say how BIG a deal that is to me!?!?! When I first married my husband, I would not go to sleep until I KNEW for sure that he was asleep just in case I snored. Now, I don’t snore.
What an amazing trip this has been. It has been hard; there is no doubt about it. Following the HCG Protocol is tough…not for wimps. But, I do not know how to communicate how life changing this has been for me. For the first time in my life, I have HOPE that I can maintain a normal weight and be a normal size.
I have a business trip next week and am traveling on an airplane. The last time I was on an airplane, I weighed nearly 300 pounds. And, the seating was very tight and uncomfortable. I am excited to see how it feels to be smaller on the plane.
There are many folks on here who have guided me and supported me and bonked me on the head when I needed it. There are many people who spend a great amount of time on the forums sharing wisdom and advice and answering questions. Be nice to them. They have been there and done that. I owe a great thank you to several. I am dull and thick headed (stubborn) and want to do things MY way…then cry and pout when it blows up in my face.
Anywho, that is where I am. I am on Phase 4 maintaining my weight right at my LIW. I am looking forward to Round 3.
I hope everyone is doing very well. Thank you for all your kind comments and for reading my thoughts.
