Omg i need help!!

My worst fears have came true. I am a week into phase 3 and I have gained 7 pounds. I am eating what I have been told to eat. I don't know what to do. I did a steak day and I still gained weight. I didn't cheat in P2....please I need help. I don't want to gain all this weight that I just worked really hard to lose. I am really sad and disappointed.

    Can yOu please list what you've eaten , how much water you've drank and any medications your newly on? I can't help unless I know a bit haha

    I been sticking to just chicken and green beans. Or Chicken and salads. I have had an omelet with breakfast sausage....it had green and red peppers in it along with cheese. I went out to dinner with my family Last sunday night and had a piece of sweet potato (I didn't know I couldn't have any) I have had yogurt. I have been drinking all the water I am suppose to be drinking. I stayed with my parents in the hotel and they have been on the same diet. My mom got pizza and said it would be okay if I ate one piece. Do you think that did me in???

    New medicine I am on is Clindamycin, Norco, and Zofram. I am like starving all the time. I try to eat like 5-6 times a day. But like this morning I woke up with such hunger pains. I am afraid to weigh myself cause the scale just keeps going up. So disappointing that all I do is sit back down and cry. I try to tell myself that maybe its because of the medicine. I don't know but I am feeling very very defeated.

    Hi livingnewlife! I feel your pain...this happened to me after my second round. I finished phase 2 and it was very difficult for me to sabilize. I did a steak day and went up .6....which is really unheard of for me. I then went on vacation and when I came back was up 10 lbs. So my doctor told me to do a steak day immidiately. (I ate a 14oz ribeye) The day after I went down 2.4 lbs. I then ate very clean the following week (meat, veggies and minimal fruit) and it went down over the next week. I found I gained on yogurt very easy and pizza as well Try and stay away from anything processed and keep it simple and see if the weight comes down. If you want I can always give you a menu of what I ate to get an idea. Hope this helped a little bit! Dont get discoureged...there is a brighter side! Think of it as a learning experience so you know for the future.

    Take a deep breath and just take things slowly. You can still get back to LIW. I don't know about your meds, but the pizza was a definate no-no. You can't have ANY starches (or sugars) in P3 and you're right, no sweet potatoes. I'd also check the ingredients in your breakfast sausage. A lot of them have sugar and other ingredients you shouldn't be having. If you're having dressing on your salads check those ingredients too. Try cutting out the cheese, yogurt and eggs to see if that makes a difference. A lot of people are sensitive to dairy and eggs. Add them back in one at a time and give 3-4 days between each one so you can see if either cause you to gain. For the hunger, make sure you're eating enough healthy fats like coconut oil and olive oil. See if eating more food at breakfast helps your hunger. Make sure you're getting your water in. Be very careful eating at restaurants. A lot times the seasonings they use have sugar in them. The sodium can also cause temporary gains. You can order your food plain and S&P it yourself. Protocol says to do a steak day if you're more than 2 lbs over LIW, but a lot of people have success by eating just protein, veggies and healthy fats. Good luck and try not to panic! Save that energy for coming up with a plan to get back to LIW.

    Okay the clindamycin and norco wont but zofram might be causing a little water retention upon consulting my pharma. book ( i switched programs but the books helpful ) Im like you im constantly hungry ! My suggestion is similar to marvless but i say just cut the cheese/dairy keep the eggs if you continue to gain cut them as well. The sweet potaoe and pizza are big no nons...Do a steak day and eat large quantites of p2 foods for the next few days cooked in oils or butters. itll come back off hun. when i started phase 3 i ate bad eggs and i couldnt eat for 2 days (i was incredibly sick) and gained 8 lbs from not eating enougH! i promsie itll come off

    Okay I will do that. Now healthy fats are??? I am not good with food. I know how to cook and eat them but to know which is which...ya that is not me. I will for sure kick the cheese and milk. I knew the pizza was a bad idea but at the time it was all I had to eat. I don't have any dressing on my salads. Its just my salad and chicken. Woohoo...if you can give me a example of what you ate that would be awesome. Marvless and Meagan that you so much. If you can just tell me what healthy fats are I would appreciate it. (Sorry for being a bother)

    You arent a bother hun,

    Ill give you an example of thursdays food:
    10 bottles of water (brita water yum)
    breakfast-6 eggs scrambled, cooked in BUTTER (dont use margrain bleck) & a sirloin beef burger from m and m
    lunch- chicken wings baked in butter, salad (just lettuce with a sprinkling of cheese i dont like dressings, you could buy a sugar free mayo tho.)
    3tbsp of coconut oil..idn why i always eat this tastes kinda gross but it ups my calories and is reportdley very good
    dinner- 3 philly style steaks from m and m with 4 eggs sunny side up all cooked in butter or pam.
    I gained .1 ...nothing at all

    Basically a healthy fat is : avacados, butter, healthy oils (coconut oil ects ), nuts, cheese,fish ..its funny because if you google healthy fats it tells us that coconut oils, fatty meats and nuts and cheese are the worst things we can eat. oh the irony. Veggies such as kale are also healthy fats. If you check my blogs i have three dedicated to recipes that are fairly simple..ive made nearly all of them in my small dorm kitchen in max 2 hours just an idea if you want recipes.

    you can also google paleo recipes or diet this is basically phase 3 in a diff diet form, just add oils and butter to add your fat.
