    Unhappy a few questions ...

I started spotting a few days ago and stared craving as well. As a usually do when I am about to go through a cycle.

My question is, is it normal to still crave even on the hcg? So have I have lost 21lbs. I have unfortunately cheated on and off for the last week, which I am not proud of.

And an additional question ... constipation.
I take magnesium citrate ... but I still cant go sometimes, is it OK to take a laxative?

    Thanks.

Yes, it is completely normal to have cravings. Don't confuse cravings for actual hunger. They are just cravings- ie in your head. My cravings ramp up around TOM as well. Just have to distract yourself or find creative recipes that are P2 friendly that will "satisfy" your cravings. Example- making a "smoothie" with strawberries and ice if you are craving ice cream or something "sweet". There are some recipes in the recipe section for some things that will curb a chocolate craving etc....

Think of the cravings as addiction cravings. For example, when you stop smoking- your body isn't "HUNGRY" for nicotine (in other words, you aren't going to die if you don't smoke a cigarette- it has nothing your body NEEDS to survive) and all those horrible chemicals- but your body is "craving"/wanting them because it's gotten used to having those things in the past (ie carbs- especially if you have a lot of candida still).

How often are you having a bowel movement? Once every 1-2 days is normal. How much water are you drinking daily?

Here are some tips for you:
► Constipation is almost always due to inadequate fiber and liquid
► Drinking the right amounts of water will lead to increased bulk within your intestine- which will stretch the intestine which in turn is what causes your intestine to contract and "move the food along" correctly. Besides water you can also use Soup and Tea to help. (There are many P2 Soup recipes on the forum)
► Relying on laxatives can actually make constipation worse
► Reduce Stress levels (stress can cause your intestines to contract-leading you to feel constipated and have a hard time passing stools).

Hope this helps =) happy pooping? LOL

Thanks for responding ... I try to reach 68oz every day ... I even bought some flavored water to help me from getting sick of drinking water.
Sometimes I cant poop for longer then 2 days. I have been a little stressed.
But I will see how things go in the next week, since my cycles last 7 days, aqnd the days I cheated, I cheated bad!!! not so proud of myself.

But I figured it was something mental.

    Thanks again.
