I have just injected my first dose. I quit smoking and drinking 7 months ago. I take synthroid and chew nicorette gum. Will this interfere with progress? Clinic says no. Any experience with either?
I dont know about the nicorette. I did the patch and hcg at the same time and still lost. I take generic synthroid and have both times I did this diet. It wont effect, it will actually help. Hypo-thyroid can slow down weightloss. And HCG actually promotes a more healthy thyroid too. Which in turn will promote more lbs to drop.
I am on day 7 of vlcd and have lost 12.5 lbs.

betsyJ, I just looked it up, and as I suspected, Nicorette is full of artificial sweeteners & flavorings, which can cause problems with HCG.
If you have been using it for 7 months, perhaps you should see a doctor about trying to kick Nicorette as part of an overall improvement of your health.
