Thread: I am always so cold!

    I am always so cold!

Anyone else freezing while on this diet? I used to not get cold at all, but I have been so cold since I have started this diet. But other than that, I am LOVING it! 11 lbs lost!

That is a common thing on this diet.... I am freezing all through P2. I had to laugh a little when I saw you are from Alaska... I would be cold just living there! ;-)

P2 chills are common. As soon as I moved into P3 I started sweating again. lol

Haha, I knew someone would see that and say "duh!" But usually when I am in my office or at home, I am fine. But now I find myself turning up the heat which is really unusual for me. Even my fiance said something about it!

It does go away in P3, like Empathic said.. but I usually have a my flax seed bag heated as soon as I get home, and I have a heater at my feet in my office.. all during P2, but then in P3, I am looking for a fan! Today is R5/P3 day 1 for me, so I am still a little cold.. got the heater going at my desk today... hang in there... your weight loss is AWESOME, so it is worth being cold for a little while, right??? :-)

Being chilled to the bone in P2 is not the most fun thing in the world unless you understand that this means the HCG is really doing its job! Think of this as your body is really working hard to get rid of its abnormal fat. A detox bath of 2C Epsom Salts, 2C baking soda and 2T ground ginger in the hottest bath water you can stand for 20 to 30 minutes. Guaranteed you won't be cold - at least for a few hours! Good work! Being cold means it's working. This diet makes the hypothalamus rest (if it's not woken up a lot with cheats). Since the hypothalamus also is your thermostat, you'll tend to get cold when it's not on the job.

I am normally very warm, but right now I'm wearing 2 sweatshirts and I'm still chilled, and my feet are frozen. Yes I'm from Canada and it's -10C but still! Lots of hot drinks and my heating pad kind of help

I'm curious about the hypothalamus 'resting'. It has so many other functions, scary to think it's not performing those too!?! Is this idea mentioned in P&I?

So glad to hear it's normal though. I thought my thyroid was crashing...
