Anyone have Krohns on the hcg?

My cousin really wants to do this diet before her wedding but has Krohns. Does anyone have any experience with this and if so what do you eat on the diet? Thanks!

Sorry know one has an answer yet for this. I don't have Krohns so I can't answer for you but can she eat the foods on the list? I'm not sure what the dietary restrictions are for Krohns. I'm more than certain she can't have any gluten or dairy and that's not on the VLCD. I hope you get your answer soon

You should have your cousin check out low-dose Naltrexone (LDN) for her Crohn's disease!

I have Crohn's. I can't tolerate cabbage or radishes and have to limit my use of garlic. It's made me lactose intolerant but in P3 I can handle a bit of cream in my coffee and swiss cheese is naturally lactose free. Also aged hard cheeses like cheddar and parmesan are lactose free, (if it says 0 sugars, it's lactose free). I have never noticed a problem with gluten (and I've tested myself by going off it, then eating a generous amount of it and not having any reaction, this was before hcg). But everybody's different. I also can't stomach more than a couple bites of raw broccoli or cauliflower, cooked is okay.

Having Crohn's has made hcg only a tiny bit more challenging. But I was already familiar with what upsets my digestive system (except radishes, never tried to eat 3.5 oz of radishes before hcg, never again!) If your cousin already has a good handle on how to eat with Crohn's, tell her she'll be okay.

Thanks everyone for your response. I've forwarded all your comments over to my cousin. This diet will be really challenging for her. She cannot eat alot of foods. Spicey foods are a definite no no for her and anything with seeds.

    Hi,
I also have Crohns. Does anyone have experience with the diet and prescription medications for Crohns. I take mercaptopurine (6-mp). Will this be an issue on the diet?
    Thanks!

Well, for whatever it's worth to other people with Crohn's reading this in the future, I'm still taking my 6mp - it's not like I have a choice (one week without that and I'll be in the hospital). Been on VLCD for 4 days now, and no issue so far, except 500 calories per day really sucks and I clearly haven't found my proper dosage yet, as it is pure agony.

I have never had a huge issue with various foods I can eat with Crohn's, so I'm lucky in that way. My biggest concern is 6mp and the diet interfering with each other, or the VLCD making me get extremely nauseous when I take my pills, which often happens without taking them with a proper meal. So far, so good.

The biggest food problem for my Crohn's is high fiber foods. For the vegi on VLCD, I've been eating mostly spinach, and that has worked out ok so far.
