    Yea Izzy! WTG.

I'm down 2 lbs after VLCD1. Just wanted to clarify: I did not gain 10 pounds back due to bingeing or eating a lot of the wrong foods. Yes, I ate a little bit more sugar over the holidays, but stayed pretty stable. Recently, though, I fell into eating and exercising too little. Something went "snap" in my system and I started gaining weight. Ironically, I gained 3 lbs in 5 days eating very little (wasn't feeling well). Then I LOST two lbs after my first load day, eating substantial amounts of high-fat foods. I share this to remind us all (since, with EDs, we've lived in "avoid eating too much" fear mode), that we must eat a healthy amount of healthful food to maintain a healthy weight. Hard to wrap my mind around it sometimes.

    Good reminder Laura and wtg!!
Clean P3 eating again today. Managed to get to club fitness and do the upper body machines, it'll be a while before I can do the leg machines for my swollen knee. Day two of TOM and in an emotional reprieve from the harsh emotions of the past two weeks. Being mindful and thankful for the calm mind and body....

Sitting here in the stink. I went to whole foods to get fish oil (lemon flavored Carlson's yum) and tried on various oil scented perfumes. P U! LOL

Hi ladies, was just under 150 this morn. Not doing the snacking I normally do. Playing words with friends on facebook instead. lol
Went out and indulged for my aunt's birthday party tonight. Will go back to P3 eating and the water weight should be off in a couple of days. In the near past, this would have sent me in a downward spiral. It's good to feel in control! Hormones are on my side this week! LOL

P.S. Had to deal with an extremely stressful situation (person) for a few hours this weekend...it was really bad... Normally I would have run to the food and drink. But I didn't. And I really wanted to drink!
    So proud!

    ...hormones are with me...amen

Way to go, Izzy! I cheated with a glass of red wine yesterday. So wanted to drink more...was feeling lonely. But I didn't. Felt good to nip things in the bud. Down a total of 4.2 in first five days. Also changed the scale battery in the middle of that, so not sure if my old battery was making readings "off." Be well all!

    3 more weeks to go...

Izzy - glad that you controlled the situation and not let the situation control you. Have you tried the california kicker - it is suppose to boost metabolism and help with water retention: 1/2 lemon, about 1/8 tsp (or less) and stevia to taste. It reminded me of the master cleanse from a while back minus the organic maple syrup. Was entertaining that for p2 actually to get better release. I think I will wait until after the 2nd week.

Laura - glad you are doing okay on your round. Do you think we will have to do the HCG on and off for life?

I'm going to be honest here. If you have a history of an eating disorder, you need to be very cautious. I would not recommend that anyone who hasn't been in recovery from an eating disorder for at least 5 years try this diet. It is too similar to anorexia at times. I have a history of anorexia and have been in remission for 7+ years now. I feel confident that I can control this diet. If you don't feel like you can control yourself, you need to stop now.
    Starting Weight: 165

    P2: -19 Pounds in 3 weeks!!

    P3W1: 146 lbs
    P3W2: 145 lbs

Shalhevet, I agree. I don't know if there's an absolute number of recovery years needed (you mentioned 5), but I do believe solid recovery is necessary first. Food no longer controls a person and unhealthy addictions to trigger foods are broken (sugar, refined flour, for examples out of my life). I think it's counterproductive to do HCG before solid recovery; that's setting oneself up for likely failure and more self-flagellation because of it. As I've stated before, I have many years of recovery and I can't imagine having done HCG while still wanting to binge or purge. I've never been anorexic, but I can imagine the VLCD is much like behaviors used to starve oneself.

I'm down nearly 6 lbs in first 6 days of VLCD. Very happy with those results, as I'm close to goal weight. I know a stall is looming somewhere soon, but that's OK. Clothes are fitting nicely and I feel good. Going to walk some hills today to work on toning my backside more. But only for 1/2 hour... no massive exercise! :-)

    Hi Ladies,

I am two weeks in the VLCD. The first week was awesome because I lost a lot but this week, the average has been .4 lbs. It's better than nothing I guess. I have two more weeks left. Would like to lose at least 10 more lbs.

Tried the california kicker (warm water, 1/2 lemon, cayenne and stevia) to boost metabolism. I don't think it really did much for me. The cayenne pepper was nasty. This brought me back to my master cleanse memories.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi everyone, been dealing with some physical and emotional stress (as usual) I'm an apartment manager for 2 buildings. The owner fired the maintenance man (my friend who got me this job - free rent in exchange for duties) right before I had to get 3 apartments ready to rent. On one errand run to the hardware store I wrecked my car. $4100.00 damage, 1500 deductible. Can't afford this at all. I was going 10 mph toward an intersection, a truck was leaving (I thought) I looked down for a second and rammed right into his big trailer hitch. My hood was crunched, bumper damaged and some internal things. Nothing happened to his truck or him. I was exhausted going on 3 hours of sleep trying to get these apartments ready. I have knee/feet problems, live on the third floor - going up and down for 3 days straight has taken it's toll on my body. I had one day of overeating P3 food, but it could have been much worse. Finally down to 149 this morn (again after only 3 hours of sleep. lol)
