allisone- more is not better, with hcg. i'm surprised she's responding to that- Dr. S. is clear that taking too much hcg will yield opposite results. what dose does your doc have you on? some people do seem to lose better with extra protein, so you might consider that.
those with thyroid issues also lose more slowly, so you're really not that much off the norm. some only average .5 per day or a little less. and the more slowly you lose it, the easier it is to keep it off.
