Anyone on or near day 22

I am getting sick of this! I miss milk in my coffee. I like milk in my coffee!. I am cold all.the.time. I am tired a lot. My husband has mentioned being worried- I am getting sick of eating the same things. I really want a ham and cheese omelet. A big one- not a skimpy VLC one I have lost 17 pounds and NO ONE has even noticed!!! (lol....i mean really are they blind!?) I am so tempted to be done...sigh. But I have read that longer phases are more successful in maintaining. I have a good 15 more pounds to go before I am at my ideal weight (but only like 1 more before I am officially not overweight anymore ***happy dance***)

    Vent over. Sorry ...lol.

Anyone else near me in this journey? Wanna support each other? I really want to do it right. I want to do this just once!

Hi, I think I was on day 22 when you posted this. I tried this diet about 7 months ago, but then summer came and it was all over... ya know... lake, beer, steak...etc. I lost about 15 pounds that first go around. I wasn't committed.

I vent to myself often, I just pretty much keep my frustrations to myself. I've been slightly more liberal this time around, trying different things and still seem to lose okay. I'm down 18 pounds in 26 days. I had a funeral and was on the road earlier this month and indulged in some no-no food. But I've recovered since then. Except for my now 6 day stall...oh well.

The diet selections are the toughest for me... same 'ol, same 'ol. But I've learned to be much more creative with cooking meals. Which I suppose it's about time. My wife goes to a weight clinic...she's on the pill whatever it is and lost quite alot of weight... she's doing great.

I stopped drinking coffee, tea, and only drink water now. I love coffee and tea, but decided to give it up for now during this grand experiment. The diet seems to work. I just remind myself there is no need for me to be in a big hurry to lose weight. I've been a fatty for about 10 years and need a good reversing of my bad habits.

I got up to 229 pounds, now at 211. I can tell on my gut especially. Keep encouraging yourself. It's tough to change. I was tired too for a while, cold, and hungry. Now days, I seem to have more energy and actually take a OTC sleeping pill to get to sleep. But I think my body is adjusting to less eating, less fat, less sugar, and the kicker... processed foods. I'm beginning to savor the vegetables that I once didn't eat in an abundance.

I was seriously addicted to fatty foods... In a way (weird way) I feel great to be liberated from that kind of eating. It's been a test of my self discipline. But.... it's a good think to conquer. I'm committed this time.

Hang in there... I'll stop the rambling. I miss the little things too, but this thing seems to work.

I'm on day 22 of round 4 today and I know this diet can be very exhausting. I started this diet last February and after doing 2 rounds I had lost 50 lbs. I went to New York to visit my sister (who I had not seen since Christmas!!!) and she didn't notice AT ALL!! I was so upset I cried. People who knew I was doing the diet and following my progress said they saw a difference but no one else. Even after 50 lbs! I've lost 75 lbs as of today and people are commenting on how I look all the time now. My body has been reshaping a lot during phase 2 this round normally I don't reshape til phase 3. So please do not be discouraged that no one has made comments on your loss. Your body will start reshaping very soon and the loss will become noticable. I have never done a short round. I have had great success with stabilizing when I do long rounds. I fell off the wagon in December around all the holiday sweets gained 8 lbs. But I'm back and have lost 20 lbs so far this round. Still have 18 days to go. I've been the same weight for 5 days now. I've gone up and down .2, .1 every day since Wednesday. It's driving me crazy. But I'm sticking with it.

I drink half and half in my coffee every morning. No it doesn't taste fantastic but if you don't use that much coffee that 1 tbsp of half and half or milk does make the coffee pretty creamy! It helps with my headaches. I love steak salad over baby lettuce. My fave veggies are cucumbers and cherry tomatoes while on this diet. I eat lots of grilled chicken and steak. I'm very bored of the food but really the results are worth it. Don't forget that!! I'm here for support We'll finish this round together!!

I am in the same boat- slow losses and thinking I might just give it up and go on into p3 and cycle back. But I keep hoping it is just a stall and I will come out the other side with more weight gone! lol. I have lost 19 lbs now and I wanted to lose 35. That would still leave me over my goal but close enough. I do not see that happening! I thought it might at first but my weight loss is stalling so much.

Thank you for all the encouragement! I did not realize p3 is when the body reshaped. I did try to get more creative with some of my meals, try new things on protocol, and it helped my out look a lot!

You all sound like you are doing GREAT! WTG on all the losses!

    Hey Guys,

If I may join in..I am at 21 days and 19 days of VLCD. My weight loss had stopped for last two days and finally today i had a loss of .7 however, last night I was very disappointed...i have only lost 12.2 so far...i wanted to loose atleast 25lbs and then the rest for round 2 to reach my goal.
But 2 days of no weight loss is so crucial...hopefully i will have a big loss one of these days and it will make up. I also got my TOM on the first day of vlcd which means Iwill get it again towards the end of the round...argggh.

Finally after a 7 day stall, dropped a couple pounds the past couple days! WOOHOO! The stalls suck, but apparently they're necessary. I'll never give up. Love the diet, don't miss the crap food... And I'm reaping the benefits of weight loss, more energy too... Feel great today and totally on top of my diet... I've modified it to fit my needs though, If its a vege, I will eat it. No vege volume limits. I restrict 1 fruit a day. And increase my lean meat consumption to a bit more at dinner than what is allowed and it's working fine for me. I haven't measured once, or counted calories or any of that stuff, just using good judgement. If I'm hungry, I'll eat more vegetables... the fatty/sugary alternatives could be disasterous and trigger guilt.

I just always keep in mind during a stall, I don't need to be in a hurry. My body is taking care of itself. It'll pass. patience.

    Moving on...

Hi, Im on day 18 of the VLCD (first time) and LOVE this diet. I would love to join this thread and us all keep each other encouraged.

I have to say I am so glad I found this diet because so far I've lost 18.8 lbs and feel AWESOME! What I have been doing is I eat lunch at noon which is usually chicken and aspargus and then an orange a couple hours after. I eat for dinner around 5pm steak with onions or hamberger with onions or chicken or cod (not a big fish fan but eat it) with cabbage or spinach, lettuce with cucumbers with Waldenwood Balsamic Vinaigrette (love it) and then at night an apple in the microwave with cinnamon on it. I drink tons of water and hot tea. Last night I made chicken and sprinkled cumin and garlic (in the tubes)and a little red chili pepper (in the tubes) and then added some onions... warmed it all in a pan, thought I died and gone to heaven had that over lettuce. It was a little spicy and before this diet I couldnt take spice but now loving it.

My sister is also doing this with me and not enjoying it one bit, I keep telling her that she is sabotaging herself and why not embrace this for the time she is on it and enjoy every lose. I have dieted over the past and always had the end in the fore front of my mind, this time I staying in the moment.

I do notice that my feet are cold during the night so now I sleep with heavy socks on.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!
