Unhappy day 13 and still gaining on P3

So the 1st few days on P3 I ate dairy, eggs, nuts, ect. I just went full tilt and got really sick. I was advised to stop all those things, and just eat clean. So I did, and still was gaining. With in the last 3 days I have started adding back in some of those things.
I have done a steak day, but after that I had a really hard time doing a real steak day, so i was doing more of a protien day. I feel like I am eating enough, for example, yesterday: 2 eggs, 5 bacon, 1/2 rib eye, chicken salad with celery, I did have my 1st mug cake with strawberries, some bites of a trout my 5 yr old caught, and about 5 macadamia nuts.
I am about to give up on P3 and go back to P2, with hhcg instead of rx this time. What do you think, is that a good idea?
And does it matter if I eat to late at night? I tend to want to snack around 8:00pm

I started out incredibly slow. The first thing I added in was bacon then cheese then peanut butter, etc. I ate mainly P2 foods but added in lots of veg and drank every ounce of my water! I have maintained @ 2 lbs under LDW. My thought would be to cut out everything you've added in and go back to P2 foods only in much larger portions for a few days. Then one at a time add something new in and if no problem eat that plus add something else, etc. until you can maintain even your current weight with your gain. I ate some dairy (cottage cheese) and eggs during P2 so they weren't a problem for me. But to me it sounds like you might be allergic to something. Did you eat eggs on P2 at all or dairy? I would start there. Good luck!

Btw....how much water are you drinking? I drink 80 oz daily about 20 more than in P2. Might just need to up your water and cut back on salt.

I just read that you're thinking of doing the hhcg. Thats what I did and lost 31 lbs. I would highly recommend them. I went thru Premiumhcg.com.

I do drink a ton of water, I just cant seem to figure out what the heck is wrong. So I should try to go back to P2 eating, but more? I have done that, but I could try again. Grrrr. What do you think about just skipping P4 and going back to P2?

Are you eating many veggies and fruits? It didn't really look like it from your original post. Maybe you're a little overboard on the protein and not quite enough fruits and veggies. Have you ever added up the calories you're eating? I know that you don't really need to, but maybe getting a rough idea of how much you're consuming would be helpful. I think I read a suggestion by one of the veterans that 11 times your weight is a good starting point for calories in P3.

Yes, it matters. Your body needs a 12 hour fast. Here's why: after you go to bed, and drop into deep sleep, your body unleashes a growth hormone that starts burning fat, while you sleep. If you have food in your belly, that will not happen because your body is too busy digesting the food you ate late at night.

Here's what worked for me: Eat 3 meals per day, and no more than one fruit per day for a snack, plus plenty of water. Make the first meal a good protein and fat (for instance: eggs, butter, cheese). Space meals 4 or 5 hours apart. Don't eat anything after 7 pm. Get a good 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Try that for a couple of days and see if you don't start to stabilize or even lose a few.

I will give your plan a try LisaAPB, I do have a bad habit of snacking after my daughter goes to bed. When I am done with P3 I think I will go back to P2....what do you think?

I have been working on breaking the snacking habit too. When I was researching hcg, and also leptin and insulin resistance, that's where I learned about the hormone that was released in our sleep. I always knew it was important to get a good nights sleep, but I didn't know why, so now it makes a lot of sense.

Generally, the rule of thumb around here, is on your first round, you should do a full P2, then 3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P3/4 to make sure you stabilize, and to give your skin time to catch up. If you did a short round of P2 and haven't been in P3 very long, you could call it an interruption and jump back into P2 but then you will need to do 23 days, and follow up with a full 3 weeks of P3 & P4.

I did a full 43 day RX round, but I am so discouraged, I keep gaining every day. I am so bummed, and really dont want to waste all the effort and money that I spent to do a 43 day. I really hope that I can stabilize, I am terrible at steak days, and just cant get a handle on this P3 thing
