    phase 2...im not losing!

    Hi, I started at 147....got down to 138 and now on the 12th day up to 141. I'm so discouraged! I have had a couple of vodka sodas and a little popcorn other then that though I haven't cheated unless it was an extra serving of fruit here or there. Also i dont see much difference in my body...I'm 5'9 trying to get down to 132. What do i do? Can i still reach my goal in the last week?? Thanks!!

    Stick to the protocol. No Vodka, popcorn, extra fruit here or there.........
    9 lbs is still very good in 12 days even if you looked at the 6lbs you are at now, it is still 1/2lb a day!!

    1. Extra fruit, popcorn, vodka, seltzer water IS cheating. Stoppit!

    2. You don't have much to lose so 9 lbs in 12 days is actually really impressive for your height/weight ratio.

    3. Did you do initial measurements? Inches often show miles before pounds do.

    Have to agree with others. The first time I did a round I cheated with sugar free candy, gained a pound and stalled for FIVE days. This diet is not forgiving if you cheat.. hard lesson learned.

    I don't do this diet simply to lose weight. I do it to lose and change my eating habits. I'm in my 4th round and as of today I've lost 74 lbs. Yes Phase 2 is hard. Especially the first week or 2, but if your not going to change your eating style then once you're done with P2 you are going to gain all your weight back. Simple as that. I always say anyone can do anything as long as they really want to!! And I agree, this diet is NOT forgiving! If you are going to eat more of anything it should be protein and ONLY on days you workout. If you're finding the diet to be too much for you or too discouraging then just do a short round follow phase 3 and 4 then be done. But you really can do it. 21, 30, 40 days is really not that long when you think of what your gaining. It seems like it is probably because you miss food. Stop giving into the junk and you won't miss that food anymore!! It's loaded with chemicals, sugars, etc. that your body is getting rid of on hcg. I'm on vlcd 15 and have lost 18.9 lbs. I'm in it for 40 days and hope to lose 30 lbs this round. I'm already more than half way there and I haven't cheated. You can do it! Take your measurements, before pics, etc. and just start fresh today.

    a cheat is cheat, even if it's a little or here and there

    It doesnt sound like it, but thats actually a lot of cheating. Vodka is FULL of sugar, popcorn is straight carbs, and extra fruit is just more sugar. If you're feeling snaky or hungry try chewing gum to suppress or possibly you aren't weighing your food right.

    I drink coffee or tea when I get snacky/hungry and it really helps

    Hi everyone..im on day 19 of VLCD part..my struggle is the lack of variety..im used to eating turkey and whole grain cereals, granola, stuff like that so it's getting tough! today I almost buckled at the health food store and got whole grain raspberry fig newton bars..whew..escaped narrowly! not too far from starting the stabilization phase 3..looking forward to some different salad dressings and fruit.. I love to make fruit bowls with chopped grapes and pineapple topped with a 2 tbsp fat free whip cream for deserts. I have ordered a bunch of whole grain pastas to stick with when i can incorporate pasta back in...trying to stay away from white flour is a good goal..anybody have any words of wisdom for motivation?
