I am about half way through R1P2, and am currently on the VLCD. I want to take the last half of the VLCD to prepare for my stop in phase 3 and 4, as I am taking a 6 week layover in my journey (to do some site seeing, etc). I am planning on taking a vacation around the end of Phase 3, and was wondering how to work this. Do I have to wait EXACTLY 3 weeks (21 days) to start adding in the starches (I would really like to be able to eat potatoes, ketchup, fried chicken, and pizza while on my 3 day vacation), or would I be safe starting to add those things shortly (within 3 days) before Phase 4 officially starts? I, of course, would not eat large quantities of those foods, but we will be stopping at Shoney's for breakfast and I LOVE their breakfast potatoes w/ketchup, and will be eating a Golden Corral for supper one night and pizza one night. I cannot take my scale with me, so will have no way of tracking if I gain or anything until I get back home.. I DO plan on having a steak day when I get home, maybe even 2 (one, then skip a few days and eat right then another.) There is no worries about me eating gravies, rolls, biscuits, etc as I am gluten sensitive, and I will be taking my own sweetner for drinks (Stevia). Any advice and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
