    Confused by all these Phases!

So on the newbie area (which I totally am!) it has some acronyms and abbreviations...It appears that P1 is a cleansing phase...but on this particular board/forum it appears its people who are finishing their loading days, so isn't that P2 then?

Where do I find what I'm supposed to be eating/doing on each phase?

    Thanks,
    Em

Here's what is on the acronym/abbreviation post
P1 - Phase One - A phase coined by Kevin Trudeau; P1 is a cleanse he recommends.
P2 - Phase Two - Begins with 2 loading days, followed by the VLCD with hcg, and the 3 days of vlcd after stopping hcg
P3 - Phase Three - the three weeks of stabilizing while adding increased protein and calories without sugar or starch.
P4 - Phase Four - the three weeks of stabilizing while adding sugars and starches back in the diet

most people here do not go by kevin, we follow dr. simeon's protocol

    p1 - 2 loading days
    p2 - vlcd
    p3 - stabilize
    p4 - add back carbs

his information can be found in the PDF Pounds and Inches
    R1: 49 days, -20lbs, -4inches in waist
    R2: 5.3.12...

Thanks Southern - am I missing something in the Pounds and Inches that spells it out clearer? Here's what I see:

    FROM PDF
125 I.U. of HCG daily (except during menstruation) until 40 injections have been given. I am going to be using hhCG drops - they recommend 10 drops 15 mins before each meal 3x per day - how do I measure that against this

Until 3rd injection forced feeding. Ok so two days of loading...I can understand this

After 3rd injection, 500 Calorie diet to be continued until 72 hours after the last injection. When is last injection if I'm on drops?? After 26 days of using them?

For the following 3 weeks, all foods allowed except starch and sugar in any form (careful with very sweet fruit). Is there a handy more expansive list available for this, I like to have it all written down on what I can and can't have. :-) So I'm no longer on the drops at this point, correct?

After 3 weeks, very gradually add starch in small quantities, always controlled by morning weighing. Same question...not on any hhCG anymore?

SO...I'm just needing to lose those 10 pesky pounds...should I expect a much slower loss than the folks I see losing 1 pound per day? Thanks for your help!

I take my drops when I get up in the morning, around 2 pm in the afternoon, and at 8 pm at night. I'm taking .5 cc/ml as mentioned on my bottle and I am measuring it with an oral syringe.

When is last injection if I'm on drops?? After 26 days of using them?

For my first round, I did a 23-day round. The first two days were the loading days while taking the drops, and then the next 21 days were the VLCD on the drops. I stopped the drops on the 23rd day, and then 1-2 days later I started eating P3 foods. The hhcg doesn't stay in your system as long, so you don't have to wait the 72 hours you would if you were taking hcg injections. However, you can go up to 40 days on the protocol with the drops if you wish. You may not need to go that long, since you said you only have 10# to lose.

Correct, you are no longer on the drops. Read the ingredients of anything you want to eat - if it says sugar in the ingredients (don't go by the nutrition label, as they don't have to list sugar if it's less than a certain amount...I want to say .5 g but I'm not 100% on that number), don't consume it. There may be a comprehensive list somewhere but I'm not sure where it is. P3 is just as important as P2 b/c that is when your hypothalamus is reset, so as tempting is it might be to cheat, DON'T! Go looking in the P3 section of the forum, I know there are a ton of threads that provide guidance on how to move from P2 to P3.

After 3 weeks, very gradually add starch in small quantities, always controlled by morning weighing. Same question...not on any hhCG anymore?

YES - no longer on hhcg. So you spend 2 days loading while on drops, 21-40 days on the drops and VLCD following the restricted food list, 2 days on VLCD without taking drops, and then 3 weeks in P3 with no sugars or starches, and doing steak days as needed to maintain your LDW, which is your weight on the last day you took your drops. After that 3 weeks, you start adding in sugars and starches slowly and watching for weight reactions, doing steak days as needed to adjust.

From what I've read, the closer you are to your ideal weight for your body, the slower the weight will come off. And once you've burned off all of the abnormal fat, you'll stop losing weight at all. My losses the first round slowed to .5# a day after the first week. It was kind of frustrating after watching 1-2# fall off every day for the first week, but still - .5# every day is still 3.5# at the end of the week! And losing 17.5# in 3 weeks' time was AMAZING. Seriously, totally worth it, though by the end of that 23 days I was DONE with the VLCD from a mental standpoint.
