Cassie - what happens in P4 if you go over the 2 lbs?

Sorry I should have put this all in one post. Sportymom - if you are not doing another round you could eat like that forever if you wanted . It's just low carb way of eating. I worked for a weightloss company for a bit and lost over 30 lbs while I was there. I would guess that you could get away with eating 2-3 carbs a day (1 pc of toast, sm potato, 1/2 cup rice) etc and 2-3 fats (1 tbsp margarine, 1 tsp mayo, 15 almonds) etc along with 2 proteins, 3 veggies, 3 fruits, 1-2 dairy. In fact, most of us would likely maintain our weight in p4 if we stuck closely to that regimen. It's all about portion control but I'm also sure we all knew that too lol

    Good morning!
Actually I haven't gone to bed and it is 4:12 AM! I went to the store late and was wound up when I got home. Stayed up watching taped shows of Biggest Looser. WOW when I see what they have to do I feel like such a weenie! I am totally bummed out....... still bc I am at 2lbs over LDW and am so embarrassed that I feel like I have lost the entire war. I know it isn't true, but is so disappointing. I have looked over my records and the exact thing happened last round, but we were on vacation. First round wasn't so difficult. I had forgotten just how volital P3 was! It is amazing what this does to one's mind. Oh well, I will get through it, but am so sad and disappointed in me. I grazed through four hours of Biggest Looser! All P3 foods, but I doubt that will matter, expecting big gain in the am. I want so badly to declare a free day and eat a hamburger. OOPSI rolls aren't going to cut it, I don't think. Pleep83, I 'm sorry you gained 7 lbs, but you need to commit to a steak day for correction THE DAY you go over the 2lbs limit, if you want to gain the benefit of the reset of your hypothalamus. You are so close to your goal, you may not feel the desperation of the moment like I do who have still so far to go. I am sure I will do a steak day tonight. I don't even like steak anymore! But it is critical to regaining my control. I can't afford to take anything for granted. I am admitting all of this hoping it will help someone see that the battle is never over. Stand your ground so you don't have to keep loosing the same amount of weight over and over. 60 years old is sinfully late to learn again all the lessons of self-control I had once practiced. My bad......... accountability hurts.

[QUOTE=Jendaenie;648720]Cassie - what happens in P4 if you go over the 2 lbs?

You just do a steak day-like in P3. Steak days can be done for life, which is good, cause I love me a big ol steak.

I am down 2 pounds from my BAB/high protein day, so I've got 2 more to get rid of. I'm doing another BAB/protein day today, and tomorrow, I'll follow it with another steak day if I need to. Whatever it takes. I need to get to 130 (LIW) but I still would like to see the 120's even if just a glimpse.

Moonbeam- Don't sweat just 2 pounds. Do a correction day to get rid of it. I felt lost and hopeless being 7 pounds over, but after 2 correction days in a row, I am now only 2 pounds over, and I have no doubt that I'll be back down by the end of this work week. Then the real work begins-controlling the amount of P3 food I eat and controlling the nuts. I will likely be stuck in P3 for awhile, but that's okay because I WILL do this right!!!!

Damnit! The nuts got me last night. It's amazing how I just went through 6 weeks of only a few strawberries to nibble on at night to devouring almost an entire can of almonds! So it's a fff/steak day for me today as I am 2.4 over LIW. I'm pretty sure I should have eaten some fage and berries for breakfast, but I have never been one to eat anything as soon as I wake up so I brought it to work and am having it now.

Moonbeam - Cassie's right. You can ditch those 2 pounds in the next day so don't sweat it. As for the biggest loser, don't you DARE give yourself a hard time about what they are doing versus what you are doing. They have the luxury of an entire, physical, face to face team, a trainer with a gym 5 steps from their beds, no distractions from real life , including a full time job or kids, and all the food provided to them. Honestly, anyone that was given that opportunity would be a fool not to be successful. It's a great show for the motivation it can instill in others because it's always great to see how much better, happier, healthier people look when they drop weight, but that should be all you take away from it. Finally - GIRL - give your head a shake. You have lost like 66 pounds in 8 months, and if you really knuckle down for the last 6 week round, there is absolutely no reason you can't reach your goal of 175 during that round. I completely understand that being 60 makes that a bit harder to achieve, but I think you are forgetting....that you are already achieving it

Jane - How's those 3 lbs coming? Hopefully you have already corrected it
Jenae - I think you said you were going away right now. I sure hope it's easier than you imagined.

Can of almonds? How about nearly 1/3 of a huge, like 2 pound bag of already shelled almonds from Sams? I freakin' LOVE almonds!!!!

Well I am only 4 lbs over now. I'm still stressing about it. I was going to do a FFF DAY but I can't find FFF anywhere. Ugh! I used to eat it all the time now that I need it I can't find it. I bought a huge steak instead. I had a coffee this morning water the rest of the day then eat my slab of beef tonight. Then, in the morning I'll see where I'm at. If I'm still way up I'll try an egg day. Last round I did an egg day and felt like barfing by the afternoon. The only good thing was I dropped a ton. Good luck to all.

Cassie - WHOA! I wanted to eat the whole can but I stopped myself cause I already knew I'd be up I just didn't want to make it worse. If they readily came in bags for me, that would be big trouble! I see why you are in the predicament

Pleep - Good to hear on being down 3 lbs. I live in Canada and we don't have the brand FAGE but I looked up the nutritional value and any full fat plain greek yogurt will do the trick. May I also suggest that the next time you do an egg day to make deviled eggs?! It's just an add of a bit of mayo, everything else is free (mustard, lemon juice, spices, etc).

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I sure hope we can all say that our correction days are over for the week after tomorrow and we can enjoy the weekend!

I would suggest taking the almonds and putting them in baggies and having someone hide the rest, and each day you get your portion. I usually eat cheddar cheese with my nuts so I get full faster or cottage cheese.
    Good luck!!!

I did that last time. Maybe I should again. Since I can't seem to control myself.
