Agree Lelu - I'd have been happy w/1.8 for sure. Anything over 1 will make me happy. I hope you get your hypothyroidism issues worked out. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to have unanswered medical conditions.
Thanks @acoull - loving the loss. Hope I can keep it up. My HUGE goal would be 15 pounds but will be happy with 10 so I'm a bit freaked out that I will hit my "stall" or "plateau" early on if I lose at this rate. 2nd week usually is less of losses correct? Looking at your ticker you are SUPER close to your goal - that is wonderful!!
Ok a few notes to mention - I am eating "Mikes Chili" from the recipe board and OMG is it good. You MUST check it out! It's sooooo good. Also, I downloaded a great recipe book/pdf called "P2_hcg_recipes" and it has several home made sauces using tomato paste and tomato sauce...and some of them also include tomatoes as well. One even said 4 large tomatoes chopped + 3 tblsp tomato paste = serving size is 2 veggies. How is 4 tomatoes 2 veggies? I thought 1 tomato= 1 veggie? I really would like to use some of these recipes, I just don't want to blow it!

Em that ticker was from my first round, I havent gotten around to changing it yet. I always set my goals higher than what I expect, it gives me something to reach for. I quickly found out that with HCG and my body, there was no reaching, I was only going to lose what my body would give up. I ended my first round at 150.8 and figured I would lose the additional 5 through diet and exercise. I am and always have been a curvy girl at 5'7 so that would be ideal for me. I stared exercising when I got into phase 4 and just couldnt lose. If I worked out hard I would gain. So I figured, I KNOW how to lose weight with HCG so why not do it. My plan is to lose what my body will give up and then tone whats left over.Im thinking I can lose 10 pounds total.
Weight loss did slow down in the second week for me, but I had a mishap with my spray pump so I wasnt getting all of my dose, once I corrected the problem it picked back up again. We will all cross that plateau bridge when we come to it though, no worries, plateaus were meant to be broken
So its funny with the tomato thing, my diet last time consisted mainly of tomato based soups and gigantic romaine salads, always with a protein and additional veg. I had no trouble at all, and I always had my two fruits each day. Its so person dependent isnt it!
Lelu- What a bummerSo this round may be trickier for you, but im sure you will still be successful. Im sure it would be nice for all things to be equal while you were doing a diet this regimented
I am on a redo round 6 - I started one after Christmas but was way not ready to do another round, so quit and waited and then started weekend before Valentines Day. I do good until I go on vacation and then I gain - eating out is a killer and eating at other peoples homes for me. I hate the fast food salads - they taste like they came out of a bag and when your traveling you do not always have time for a sit down restaraunt meal! So since round 3 - 4, 5, and 6 are just for losing gains during my holidays!!! At least I know I can lose it and not have it accumulate like it was. (We travel alot). I am doing rx sublingual hcg. I have tried the pellets twice now and I do not do so well on them!
Lelu and Acoull - great losses!!!! I never have big drops!!! Today down .4. It's in the right direction!!!!
It really does depend on each person!
Thanks~ Anything down is greatI guess I was hoping to loose more of my loading weight. In the end, slow and steady wins the race! Just praying for no stalls. I literally started this round one day after TOM ended. So, hoping I can skate past that mess!
I'm seriously struggling with not having a glass of wine tonight! I am a stay at home mom to three amazing kids, 13, 10 & 4 and this week they are off school. I needed to unwind halfway through. Instead, I got a new book, (the second in, "The Hunger Games" trilogy) a cup of tea, and I locked myself in my room for an hour! Worked like a charmI usually cuddle up with a nice big glass of Merlot, and my bag of Guittard chocolate chips and sip my wine while I let the chips melt away on my tongue. It truly is my ONLY guilty pleasure~ Missing the chocolate chips too...
Can't wait to hear all of your amazing losses in the morning!
Thanks Thomygirl! So jealous of your frequent traveling, I hope to be able to do that when the kiddos are a bit bigger. Isnt it so nice to know that even if you gain, there is a solution to it!
@Lelu, I SO hear you on the wine, Im a malbec girl myself. It is such a trigger for me though, if I drink, I always eat. I have two little ones at home they are 2 and 5, very busy little buggers. As soon as my husband gets home I go upstairs and just take 10 minutes of quiet time, it really has been helping. Make sure your taking time for yourself everyday, not just when it gets unbearable. Stress is not our friend
I am down 1.4 this morning. I pretty happy with it. I had two huge salads yesterday, Im talking HUGE. I used one whole head of romaine lettuce in each of them. So I was a little scared that it would be too many calories. Last round I was meticulous, tracking everything I put into my mouth and adding my calories to a tee. It was pretty stressful, this round I have decided to go with the flow a bit more, and listen to my body. Well I hope you all have a great day!
Well @LeLu it was smart to pass on the wine. I thought I could sneak one in last night as my fruit - nope (actually had 2 glasses). Only went down today .1 - i'm horrified. Guess I have learned my lesson though. No wine for me which is a huge change, but if I'm going to do this I need to be here 100% and these small losses will just depress me.
On another note - I just bought a digital Weight Watchers scale (made by Conair) and I'm not sure it's reading correctly. I've totally trusted it but last night my husband weighed himself around 6:45pm and by 10pm when he weighed again he had lost 17 pounds - I mean NO FREAKIN' WAY! My kids have been using it too and one went from 46.6 pounds one day to 52 the next. I'm thinking it might be a crappy scale. I mean it wasn't really expensive, right around $30. But I'm thinking i need to take it back and now I'm not sure about my losses! I'm down 4.4 in the first 3 days of VLCD so I'm overall happy, but what if it's all wrong? Very frustrating. I'm going to go google reviews for it to see if anyone else has the same issue. I liked it because it does all the other stuff like fat %, BMI, water % etc.
Great loss @Acoull! I'd be happy with that loss for sure! What do you use for dressing on your salads? OMG last night I was sautéing some spinach and shrimp in Braggs liquid amino's and it was soooo salty tasting. Too salty for me! I was thinking I'd love it since I heard it's a perfect HCG diet replacement for soy sauce, but next time I will use MUCH less! LOL!
@thomygirl - that is so nice that you get to travel a lot, how lucky! My goal for this weight loss is to feel good about myself in a bathing suit for spring break which is in April (we are going to the beach). I've pretty much convinced myself that I'll probably gain any of my losses back in that one week! I like to indulge when we go to the beach and the alcohol flows daily...so I'll be right back here after that for sure! Hee hee.
Off to research digital scales...hope everyone has a great day!
