I'm starting Round 3 this weekend and am seriously considering following this higher-calorie plan. Seems like everyone I've read who has done it has had success - sometimes even greater success than with the 500-calorie plan.
I am not a newbie to HCG...have done 2 full rounds and a half-round. Lost 70# in one year's time - yay! After a 6 mos break to rest my mind & body, I am doing my final full round to get rid of the remaining 20 extra lbs. So, imagine my surprise when I went to my doctor's office for a fresh supply of HCG and was given a new protocol to follow... 800 calories: 3 daily meals with 3 daily fruit, protein & veggie choices..and expanded choices to-boot!
Now I am not one to question my doc, so I took my HCG & the new protocol & went home. I figured I'd give it a whirl. If it didn't work I figured I could just go back to the 500 calorie protocol. But, at day 13 (11 on the VLCD) I am down 10 lbs - very similar loss record to my 500 calorie protocol rounds (so far). No probs with hunger. No crazy cravings. This is actually teh easiest round to-date.
Just wondering if anyone else out there is doing the 800 calorie protocol & what your experience has been.
Most of the people who have come onto the forum with the 800 calories struggle with poorer losses. Hope it works out for you.

I am about mid-round & my losses on the 800 calorie plan have been nearly the same as when I followed the 500 calorie plan. My energy level has been much better in this round than the past & I am not battling any hunger (physically or emotionally). I have 7# to my goal of 120 & I am losing on average 0.08# each day. I'd be interested in hearing about your experience if elect to follow the 800 calorie plan. All the best to you!
This was my first round (and hopefully the only one I'd need) and the very first week I just couldn't do the 500cal so I added extra protein and I think I was eating about 650-750 calories a day.
That week was the best! It was easy to do, and I had an average of 300g loss a day (0.66 pounds) which as I understand is a good average for women.
Second week: 8 day stall, which corrected itself eventually when it finally broke. That week I was able to reduce the calories to the 500 limit.
Since then, third week, I am not doing too good. 500 calories, but the smallest variation makes me stop losing or even gain. Even if I don't eat more, but happen to eat too late (due to kids not allowing me to prepare my food...)
Not sure it is because I am very close to my goal or what....(I am about 4 pounds away...)
164cm - 36yo.
start weight 62.3 kg 137lbs * BMI 23.42 * Goal weight 56kg
VLCD31 END WEIGHT 57.2kg / 126lbs BMI 21.3
weight lost 7kgs/15.5 lbs
Cms lost on P2: 27cms/10inches
Total cm lost inc P3: 35cms/13.7inches 55.5kg/122lbs BMI 20.7
I would be interested to see how this works out in the long-run with stabilizing and maintaining. I don't think there's anything at all wrong with experimenting (I just don't want to be the guinea pig, ha ha). That's why I love this forum! Everyone agrees that Dr. Simeons' protocol works like a charm, but it would be great if someone would do a modern-day truly scientific study on different protocols.
I would definatly be interested in somemore feed back on this 800 calorie idea.
And I so agree with Surby66.............. I have wished and prayed that a new Dr would take over modern Day
Research and Experimenting and Testing different foods
My first round I weigh my meat but I just chose in my fitnesspal a small med or large apple or orange
And I also just chose a Tomatoe........ when I did the weight math upon startign this round I discovered the
Calorie counts of my fruits and veg were way higher than what I had entered into My fitness pal
So Long story short I lost 35 to 37# my first 40 day round eating what I figure was about 700 to 800 Calories per day
I decided this round to weigh every thing that i ate and it is lots tougher.....
I have not really lost any more probably less but then I am gettign closer to goal...
Interesting idea I say..........K4UBER
Would love feed back on if you have done the 800 this round???

This Diet is NOT just about loosing weight, but about loosing your BAD habits that got you to your start weight in the first place.
Sounds like you are having success using the 800 calories. I always say the proof is in the losses. If it works keep doing it. If not adjust as much to the original protcol as you need to.
Good luck!
I am down over 70 pounds total!!
I tried Injections! I tried Drops! Now I'm using a Revolutionary NEW hhCG Patch!
They also sell real hhCG Drops and pellets.

Hello All, I am reporting back. I am 14 days into P3 after a 23 day P2 round following the 800 calorie protocol. I am not having any stabilization issues. Following P3 guidelines to the "t".
Anybody else following the 800 calorie protocol? How are you doing with it??
