Can you post the difference with the 800 calories and the 500 calories? Food choices, weights of food allowed?

yes that would be great. I am just starting my 5th round and would love to increase my calories. Did you just increase the amount of protein intake? Did you eat different veggies?
Hi everyone,
I followed Dr. Lipman's updated protocol "New Pounds and Inches" (www.bestbuyhcg.com). He takes the original protocol and brings it into the 21st century. He does provide an overview and a comparison on the original. I lost my weight on a short round last Nov (21 day round) and stabilized perfectly on 6 weeks of holidays. I found the 800/ day sometimes too much as I wasn't hungry but it was nice that I could go up that high if needed.
I prefer it BUT you need to follow what works for you. Could I have lost more on the original...probably but I was happier overall and I think the transition between phases were easier because I had a little bit more caloric intake.
I just started round 2, which I am having a harder time - only because my focus keeps wavering. I'm hoping that once my focus is back, I will see great results!
Hope that helps!

Total for 2 rounds = 17lbs/18.25 inches (finished .4 below R1 LDW)
Round 3 On the patch...
I agree Haveasmile, it seems that experimentation is the key too success. If the 500 work go for it, and if the 800 work go for that too. I don't think it's nice to shoot down or discourage others, just that fact that they are here and trying to do the program with this frowned upon method is just testament that what works for you may not work for others.I'm trying the 800 calorie protocol by upping my proteins, so far I've had good losses.
Thanks for the info. I may give that a try. So far I seem to be holding at 7 pounds, 5 day stall. It will break I know, but...
