Can i eat mustard from the store?

    Only ingrediants:

vinegar, water, mustard seed, salt & turmeric
    0 fat
    60mg sodium
    0 carb
    0 sugars
    0 protein
    5 calories per teaspoon?

I just tried making homemade mustard from a book, OMG that was terrible!

So can i eat the store bought with ingrediants above?

    I hope so.

I do. As long as it has no added sugars or starches.

And watch the sodium, if you're salt sensitive (damn horseradish mustard gets me every time LOL).

I eat store bought mustard all the time. I add it to Apple Cider Vinegar to make a tangy mustard dressing for salads and stuff. I have to watch it though, I think I started having too much toward the end of my last round. LOL And before I started my first round, I hated mustard. Never ate it. LOL

Lesson learned from falling off the wagon: Being sick is NOT an excuse to eat whatever you feel like.

Just tried it tonight with my hamburger. Can't stand plain hamburger - no matter what spices I added to it, was so dry. The mustard tasted like a delicacy. I tried not to use too much just in case but with so few ingredients and no sugars I can see listed - it has to be OK. If I still have a decent loss tomorrow I probably will have found makings for a decent salad dressing. Even yellow mustard with apple cider vinegar sounds great to me now as I do like mustard.

Just had a burger (no bun, no cheese), Lettuce, avocado, pickles, and MUSTARD for my R1:P3 first day lunch and it was... AMAZING! I didn't realize mustard was on the protocol the whole time... I went out and bought some ground mustard seed because it was listed as safe (used it once), but just assumed yellow mustard MUST be off the list! I also didn't want to use apple cider or rice vinegar because they're made from apples and rice... i figured I would stay away. Besides... the acidity of the white distilled vinegar was actually kind of a welcome tart flavor.
