Thanks Caressa! I'm not gung ho on it, but it sounded like an interesting way to curb my cravings. And I rarely eat lunch, so it fits my current lifestyle.
I usually run in the am, tho. So that would stinkonice. Pffft.

1 more week. 1 more week....

    Hiya Mike! BOOMER!!!

My maintenance plan of eating lean/protein M-Th & splurging a bit on F-Sun worked OKAY until I started adding all the extra holiday stuff in - or if a mandatory "out to eat" event occured during the week. I had no willpower to NOT splurge on the weekend too. So, my new strategy will involve Sundays being a lean day as well (if I splurge on Sat.). I think the ratio of 4:3 was just too much. (duh) And I do a HORRID job watching what enters my pie hole while on vacation or during a race weekend (need to fuel & all...). So I might jump 4-5 lbs & back that down, but not 100%. I ended my P2 last year around March 10th I think. I was 130.8 for all of 1 day, then bumped to 133 pretty consistently (still just fine). By the end of the summer, I was around 138. Fall to Christmas = 9-10 lb gain. (Egads!) So I'm back to 138 & trying to get down past 135 so I am comfy again & have some room for my indisgresions.

Tom bumped me up .2 today (grrrr), and I was a starved maniac yesterday. I ate ALL the melba I was allowed (like 8 rounds or something) and 2 apples plus my meat and a veggie. I'm sure I was over my 500 calories, but I didn't care. And I was EXHAUSTED. So weird. I skipped my shot 'cause it was "Good Morning! TOM is here 4 days early!" I'm not a fan.

Hey everyone! I'm still alive. Just fighting the cold that never ends. I'd swear it was the flu but I never got a fever. Today I could actually breathe when I first got up this morning. I'm definitly better now. I just got to cough the rest of the junk out of my lungs and be done with it.

The scale has been stuck the entire time. Yesterday I was 170.6 and got excited for today possibly being 160s then today I was 171.2 and felt betrayed by my scale.

On a positive note, I am peeing a lot today. Hopefully it will translate into a good loss tomorrow.

I'll be back for p's. It's good to see everyone.

169.8 I'll take it. I'm so glad the scale unstuck. I thought I would be 170 forever.

Funny thing is that DH and I went to dinner. That rarely ever happens but my Mom and her friend volunteered to watch the kids.

So I ate good food but more then I typically would on an average day. I was rewarded with a much greater loss then I expected.

Carrie good luck on those stubborn last five. I am amazed you can run a half marathon. Good on you! Sorry TOM showed.

Karli sorry you are still feeling bad. I hope this week is better.

Nicole, I can't wait to hear how your ultrasound goes.

Caressa, I had trouble getting in all 50g but it worked. In my stablization phases I'd eat a big,but not huge, breakfast. I found it worked well. I would eat 2-3 meals a day based on hunger. I think trying to stay paleo (most of the time) helped.

    Mike how are you doing?

Dave how are you hanging in there? Is Beth back yet?

Lacey are you done with p2? How did your round go?

    Cross-post from the Journey thread

Still here. Had 3 pretty big calorie days in a row, including 3,220 yesterday (about 360 calories over LDW x 12 and620 calories over my 11x target). Remember how I said I was having a hard time eating enough calories? Today I noticed my 7-day average for calories was only 2,199 and this includes the last 3 days!

I do not know if anyone else has experienced this but it seems to me that eating too few calories in P4 can create problems. I really think the idea of the "system reset" is right on. It seems I can consume an awful lot of calories and not gain weight but if I shorten up the calories for a few days (as I did for several days to get back to LDW, I have to pump them back up or else risk throwing things off.

A friend of mine is very much into nutrition and health. We were talking one day and he was blown away by the fact that I could eat like 2,600 calories and not gain weight. He said that he eats 1,500 calories per day and struggles to stay even despite the fact that he is 6'4" and works out 90 minutes a day (literally)! I really think this diet plan is right on the money.

Officially: Today I am up a pound to LDW +1 (still on the roller coaster). Beth has not weighed since she got to Phoenix. She also says that she is concerned because it has been difficult to eat right. Recall that she spends most of her days at the hospital visiting with her friend and cafeteria food is not the best selection for a diet like ours.

Two days and a wake up and she'll be home! LOL - Beth says that the first order of business will be a good lunch!

    Be well, all. Stay skinny!

    Dave

PS: Have you noticed how quiet The Voices have gotten since they got their own account? Or are they out there posting all over the forum? Who knows?

Dave, totally agree about eating too little. I think, really, it's too little protein! Imagine being 6'4, eating so little, and working out 90 min/ day? His body is probably holding on to every bite it gets. Man needs to eat himself a bunless burger! (I'd say someone give him a sandwich but bread is the devil.)

Beth home tomorrow! I bet you're psyched :-)

Jules, hanging in 160s still?? Yay!!!

    Carrie, Mike, check in guys!!

Caressa is no doubt rocking her P3...

I'm just enjoying a P4 life. I think I'll get back on the scale when I start back to work. That will be monday or tuesday. It may be time to start paying attention. I've enjoyed being able to eat more starchy foods (good ones, beans, corn, rice, popsicles) and I look forward to my vitacost delivery today: some all purpose GF flour mixes, some larabars, some raw honey...

I've eliminated coffee as a morning necessity since my surgery (still love it, just don't need it) and am excited to try a new morning concoction of raw honey, lemon, warm water and my Poopdoc DFS (daily fiber supplement) instead of coffee. A nice morning flush combo!

Praying that the carbs don't catch up to me, since I know my body needed them for healing that will soon be a distant memory.

    Hanging in the 160s barely. I'm 169.2

I need to get back on track. I wasn't following protcol 100% while sick and stalled.

I'm feeling better so it's time to cinch the calories again. That and the stall finally broke.

170 has been one heck of a set point to break. I haven't been this weight since age 16. Actually I haven't worn this pant size since age 14.

    Hello everyone!

I am back for round three! I maintained really well until the last couple of months, I was going up and down from 150 to 153 and then it started, I can take dairy out completely and I can loose a pound or more in a day, so I may have a dairy problem too...I gave it up for Lent, LOL, so that takes care of the dairy problem..and of course on P2 no dairy anyway! I am up 12 pounds over my LDW in round two...and I am ready to get to my goal now. I was pretty happy keeping off as long as I did, and am not sure exactly what went so wrong, I still eat clean and little to no sugar or grains...I am exercising a lot more and that did begin three months ago...so perhaps that is something... I can't figure it out...just know I am not sitting still for it...so I AM BACK! LOADING TODAY. Hoping to loose 25 lbs. would love to loose 30...this round.

I cannot remember how many ounces of the HCG drops I need to that goal? One ounce or two? Last round I was only taking two drops twice a day...so I wasn't sure how much to order. I have drops to start and I am beginning with three drops three times a day while I load....and plan to adjust as needed.

Any ideas are appreciated. I read back a bit and see that several of you lost BIG in your first week of P2...AWESOME!
