I started the HCG Diet 9 days ago. So I am not an expert but a nurse talked me into the shots she said it was so much easier and better than the drops. Mixing the HCG with the Special water was intimidating but after it was over my husband and I laughed. It was much easier than it sounded and the injections are easy as pie. NOOOOOOO Pain at all. I am a huge baby and can not look when they take my blood. If you ever decise to get the injections just be sure to get the small needles like insulin needles.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Grammy! Just finishing my 1st long round and I've had 3 stalls. They are for real! Also your advice on the apple day is spot on! It didn't do a thing for me!
Stalls are natural and necessary! The inches and the way your clothes fit are the best barometer for measuring our success!

Out of 44 days, I've had 17 stalls!

Question--three days ago, I hit a new low that I haven't seen in decades. The next day, I gained .6 lbs. Today, I'm stalled with the same weight. Why do you think that is? I've been drinking water, no longer have TOM, no cheats, etc. Only thing I can think of is no BM but I notice on P2 I can go 3-4 days without one.
    Age: 48 Height: 5' 0"
    Round 1 (46 days): lost 18.4 lbs = 124.2
    Round 2 (21 days): lost 11.2 lbs = 123.6
    P3/Reset begins: 121.2 (-2.4 lbs under LIW)
    P3/Reset day 30: 120.6 (-3.0 lbs under LIW)
    P3/Reset day 32: 119.6 (-4.0 lbs under LIW)
    P3/Reset day 45: 117.2 (-6.4 lbs under LIW)

Thank you for the lesson on stalls. I am sure I will need one more round after this.

Yeap stalls are normal, every one goes through them apple days or steak days are for psychological reasons in the mean time inches are being lost, this diet is a godsend.

Yes, they are normal and they break...this round I had a 6 day stall...gained 1.5, cycled up and down each day but finish the stall with -.1 loss for the week.

VLCD37 and -1 lb this morning = -1.8 down in 2 days! I'll take it.
Payback for being patient with that stall. Love this diet!

I have a question about stalls.

How, when only eating 500 cals a day (and our body needs 2k-3k cals to maintain), can we actually sit at a certain weight for a number of days. Is the body actually going into a mini starvation mode to hang on to the weight or something?
    R1-R4 round -182lbs
    R4/P3LR (started 9/3 wt 226 LIW -1) -- week14 -10lbs

Steveo, I have often pondered the same questions...it seems so strange. Seems like with so few calories, the weight would be flying off every day with no stalls.
    Went from a size 20/22 to 16!
