Question Can I just pick the beans out of chili?

My hubby is making red chili > can I just pick out beans or does the starch "eek" out during cooking?

It smells AMAZING and I LOVE his red chili! All else is on-protocol.

    Thanks for advice!

When we made channa masala at work, I picked the chickpeas out and poured the leftover tomato sauce over my shirataki noodles and stayed on track (-1 lb the next day without any gain a few days later). And this was in P2.

But if you're still concerned about contact starch, maybe you could get DH set some chili before he adds the beans.

Good idea to have him put it all together except beans and let me pull some out before he adds beans, then I could continue simmer in my own little pot.

It just smells SO AMAZING RIGHT NOW!!!

I've always eaten chili without the beans on p3. It's one of those things I look forward to making, because my family and I can all eat it. I just pick the beans out, I've never had a problem in the past. Good luck

Just a thought. I know when I make Chili, I pour the can of beans in along with all the liquid they came in. I can't imagine the liquid not having a massive amount of starch in i.t
