    chinese food? suggestions?

some friends are taking us out for supper tonight. they would like to take us for chinese (buffet). i really don't want to be picky and be a pain, so i'm just gonna roll with it. no noodles or rice, of course. and i'm hoping there's a salad bar.
other than that...can anyone give me some good suggestions on which meat choices would be ok? i love general tso's chicken...is that anywhere near legal at all? what would be my best options?
    thanks!!!
oh, and i'm on p3 day 9. been stabilizing beautifully.

If you don't mind doing a steak day tomorrow go for it! I am sure their food is loaded with stuff and you will probably gain. Good luck!

Pretty sure there is sugar in the sauces and lots of sodium but if you're stabilizing nicely, it probably won't affect you too badly. I hope it went well

Hmmm. I say, bring your own Chinese made with cabbage and chicken and braggs...

I have the same issue! Going out Saturday night for Chinese and it will be my first day on P3! I am pretty sure that generals chicken is a big no-no as it's breaded before it's fried and the sauce definitely has sugar in it. Pretty hard to stay away from any sugar in their sauces but at least you can stay away from breaded items. I might try twice cooked pork and see if they can do the sauce on the side. I'm thinking beef or chicken and broccoli might be okay choices, but I don't know much more than you do. I am going to have won-ton soup and just pull the won ton off and eat the meat and broth. You could do egg drop soup!

Beware (I found out the hard way in R1) Chinese is loaded with sugar and corn starch...which many have sensitivities to...what about steamed veggies and chicken breast? no sauce. Bring your own gluten free soy/braggs aminos.

Or, do a steak/egg/high protein day the next day.
