    P3 - The Best Of....Starbucks?

What would you folks recommend as the best coffee (besides black, of course!) at a Starbucks? I will be meeting at one every morning for 8 days, and I won't be able to have a mocha frappe or a caramel macchiato! So what are the P3 friendly choices there?

I will be drinking various teas throughout the day at these 8 days of meetings, and really want to have something yummy from SB to start my day with my group.

Some people do okay with the SF syrups, so you could always just get a coffee (hot or iced) with a pump of one of the sugar free flavors and add some cream or half&half. If you're brave you could try a SF latte, although that has quite a bit of milk so you should probably watch the sugars in that.

Whenever I went on P3 i stuck with iced coffee with half and half and just took my own stevia to flavor it.
One day at a time... Slowly but surely.

Americano with a dash of FF milk and 1 splenda, I sometimes dress it up with a sprinkle of nutmeg, vanilla or chocolate, you know the powders in the salt shakers..

Ok - y'all have made me think outside my frappacino box.

Grande Americano, 3 shots espresso, 2 pumps sugar-free caramel syrup, light 1% milk. I am a bit irked because the nutritional info for that won't pop up on the Starbucks Signature (build your own drink) site, but I know there are no carbs in the syrup (regardless of how many pumps), and I just wish I knew the carbs in a "light" serving of milk.

Let's hope it doesn't throw me off!

A "light serving of milk" will most likely be 1-2 oz's of non-fat or 2% milk, whatever you tell them.

I'm looking it up on calorie king and 1 oz of 2% milk is 15 calories, 1.6 grams of carbs, and 1.5 grams of sugars. that isn't bad at all. Americano's are very smooth so the milk goes a long way.

You could also do a misto if you find that the sugars in the milk do not bother you. Half coffee, half steamed milk of your choice. A grande would have 122 calories, 12 carbs, 12 sugar for the milk if it were 2%

Sugar free syrups have aspartame in them which isn't approved in p3. Neither is Splenda. I take my own stevia in and get a plain coffee or a breve latte when I'm feeling indulgent. Very high in calories, but approved and I haven't had a problem with it on the scale. It is better in p3 to have full fat because low fat and non fat creamers have artificial sweeteners. Half and half or heavy cream is the way to go from what I can tell on here. Any one else hear that? Btw I'm only on r1p3d6 so I'm obviously new to all this too.

The sugar free stuff makes lots of people gain. I wouldn't have it. I'd have an iced Americano with some half and half and take your stevia. You may find you like it better than a latte like I do.

I will have to go with a hot Americano - I have been freezing on the hCG and they always have our meeting rooms frigid. But I will remember about the sugar free stuff; that SUCKS! I bought some English toffee stevia the other day, so that can be my fake caramel.

It really does seem so weird to be thinking about full fat rather than reduced fat like I have thought for so many years. I will still stick with low-fat milk for tea, though; cream can sometimes curdle in tea (and that is pretty disgusting!).

You can always order a tea but in steamed milk instead Of water. I like stevia much better in tea than coffee....try an earl grey latte!

I have found that I HATE stevia in my tea. We drink a LOT of English breakfast around here, like about 4-5 mugs a day. I do like a coffee first thing to get me going better, and I used to really really love my foo-foo coffee at SB.

Are SF items with saccharine or aspartame EVER allowed back in? P4? I even like the SF vanilla iced coffee from McDonald's in the summer, especially for just a buck.
