If you are losing in P3 my plan is to just let it keep happening but I think that is a personal preference as some say stricktly stict to what protocol says which is stay within the 2 pounds. The 500 cals is with the P2 foods then after that you can start eating P3 foods

One other question, then I will get out of your hair. I found I didn't have the hcg, that’s the reason I cut my round short so I could do the P3 and then hope right back on to lose the rest...but sense this was not hcg would I still have to follow the rules and guidelines.....Some say yes and some say no...I'm wondering if the reason why no knows what happened to the people that did the amino acids didn't succeed cause they was hungry all the time. Is there anyone that did the amino acids with success? But hey I'm happy that I have lost 21 lbs and I'm sticking to my guns through thick and thin.
I did HCG so Im sorry I cant help. Hopefully with you next round with HCG you will have even better success! Congrats so far!

    Hi all!

Nicole!!! So good to see you! Welcome to the crazy train ride of P3. I decided to do a high protein day today after gaining 1.4lbs over my LDW over the course of 4 days. Even though, today I weighed the same as I did yesterday, I was worried that I may go over the 2lbs by tomorrow if I didn't do something.

I've eaten so much chicken today, I don't think I could swallow another bite of it! I also drank 96oz of iced tea so far. I am so stuffed, I don't think I can workout without throwing up. BLAH! Perhaps I'll feel less full in another couple of hours and can get on the treadmill then. We'll see.

Val, how are you doing today?

    Hi Wendy!

I'll let you know in the morning if my high protein day has had an effect on my weight. I've read that it's worked well for others, which is why I decided to try that instead of a streak day.

    Hugs all!

    Hi Janet:

I was up one pound today.....so I am watching closely today. Plan to go the gym tonight since I missed 2 days in a row. I was over 1000 each day (M +T) and I suspect without working out it's too close to my resting metabolism (thank you Bod Pod!) hence the gain! So I am doing fish and bok choi tonight --- light on the fats all day to keep the calories lower.

And your Fingers: How are they?????

Good job on the protein day....it should work. But remember to review your menus since easing back into P3 is identifying intolerances --- dairy, eggs and cheese together, nuts.

    Hi! A few things:

    1. Losing is not a big deal but realize you do need to increase your caloric intake and must eat about 1500-2000 a day, focusing in real foods, healthy fats and introducing slowly. There's a link at the beginning of this thread that you will find helpful about introducing foods as part of P3.
    2. The 500 calories is for the first 2 days not three and then start introducing one item. The easiest way to increase calories is through good fats like olive oil. Try eggs for breakfast (without cheese) on the 3rd day for one meal over 2 days, monitor weight, then take out eggs and add next item, etc. Another good thing is to increase protein you normally eat on P2 to 6-7 oz versus the 3.5. Essentially double it. Same proteins though. And increase veggies and introduce other non-starch veggies and mix them (onions, tomatoes, peppers).

Regarding using Non-HCG you'd need to post that on the open forum thread for Grammy or one of the moderators. All of us on this thread were using real HCG (drops, injections) so we can't give you any advice on that one.

Good morning everyone. P3 is here! I didnt lose any weight today but I was pretty darn hungry all day yesterday so wondering if my body was rebelling on me. Today I work half a day then taking the kiddos to the hotel. I wont have a scale in the morning which kind of scares me but life has to happen. Tomorrow Im taking the kiddos to the parade & just going to enjoy the very nice weather we are having!
Nicole: I realized on Tuesday as I was checking out of my hotel that I could have gone to the gym to use their scale in the am. I wish I would have. I was up one pound when I got home..... While it won't be exactly like being at home in your own bathroom, at least you are checking....

Morning Ladies! Happpy St. Patty's Day!!!!!!!

I am still one pound up today. Despite my good intentions I didn't make it to the gym last night; spent too much time working and then I was just too tired. But I will get back there today.

P3 for me is going well. The only "real" thing I've added was some additional veggies (bok choy, green beans), Fage Yogurt, and feta cheese. I've primarily just increased my intakes.

I was never a big pasta eater before but bread......yes. I don't miss it.

Wishing you all "the luck of the Irish" today. Make it a good one!!!

    Happy St. Patrick's Day, girls!

I am happy to report that HIGH PROTEIN DAYS work!!!!!!!! I lost a pound overnight, so I am comfortably back to within .4lbs of my LDW!

I now have the confidence I need to maintain this lifestyle for the rest of my life! I hope everyone finds a 4-leaf clover today!

    Hugs,
    Uppity aka Janet

PS: Val, I wouldn't wait until you are up much more before trying a high protein day! It works! No exercise and all. I missed the past 2 days of no exercise and still lost weight!

    Good Morning!

Down 1.4 today!!!! WOO HOO!!! This is slightly below by LIW. I believe it was those walnuts......

I will be leaving for the inlaws on Sat morning and Sunday evening. My plan is to go to Outback for dinner so I can have a steak. Need to check their nutrition info since I suspect their seasonings for steaks have *sugar*!

Smiley: How are you adjusting to P3 and what was your first meal? I am a fairly experienced low carber so for me it was very easy.

Janet: You are fabulous!!!! And tell me about that protein day and what you had/how much. I'm thinking I may do that Monday to drop a little more.

Hugs to all of you!! Val

Good morning! My body didnt like something I ate. Not sure if it was the dairy products (sour cream/yogurt) or the eggs that I had at the hotel. Either way P3 is sucking so far lol. Im debating finishing out my vial and counting this as a planned interruption then going back on to finish the vial so that I can really see what sensitivities I have and do P3 right. I had a great time with the kids the past 2 days though & while my life is usually pretty boring...life happens every once in a while for me.
