P3d2, gain of 2.4 pounds. Steak day?

Hi there. I am on p3, day 2. Yesterday, I thought I ate really well. Breakfast was 2 eggs, 1tsp of butter with 2oz of salmon and green onions. Snack was 1 celery stick with 2tblsp peanut butter, lunch was 1/2 pound chicken salad and dinner was turkey burger with cauliflower rice (made with 1tsp butter). I tracked my calories late last night, and I only ate 1430. I also dont think i drank enough water, and i did a lot of walking yesterday. I woke up with a 2.4 gain .

Should I do a steak day? Is it possible water weight? There was salt in the PB and in the salmon and I'm sure in the chicken salad too and I barely used salt at all during p2 (I never use it while cooking). I'm really sad, I was so careful!

    Please advise?

I see a few potential problems - the peanut butter jumps out- also what was in the chicken salad? Did you make it yourself? I'd go back to more water, your P2 proteins in larger amounts, and cut out the walking for a few days. Also you might need to up your calories. Remember the hcg in your body has been burning a lot of fat through your system prior to P3. When you suddenly drop the calories your body has been burning, it might go into starvation mode.

Thanks! Oh duh, peanuts are a Legume aren't they? Is almond butter any better, or just no nuts? What should I eat for snacks..? I'm really bad at this, haha. I tried eating more yesterday, it felt like all I did was eat! The chicken salad had mayo, celery, and spices in it. I did get a stomach ache after I ate it, so I was wondering if maybe I have some sort of lactose intolerance. I've always eaten cheese and dairy without much of an issue, but who really knows.

I will try and eat more today, just have to figure out WHAT to eat. I have some canned tuna, do you think mixing it with a tiny bit of greek yogurt and spices would be bad?

Oh and my problem is, chicken and steak are really grossing me out. I don't know how I'm going to go back to p2 meats! Wah . I had a hard time eating the chicken salad... Maybe I'll eat some shrimp today? I knew p3 was going to be hard for me.

I would stay away from all dairy for a day or two. Can you bake up a bunch of chicken legs, throw hot sauce on them or something? Do you have bacon around, sugar freee bacon? The store brand from Target is good, any bacon that isn't sugar cured. I guess I'm suggesting a really high protein day. The problem is what caused the gain - the mayo, the PB, what? It could just be the walking as well, causing some inflammation. I'd drink a ton of water today and stick to bacon and eggs and steak if you can manage it. I bet for sure it's water weight and will come straight off. Steer clean of PB and wait a few days before trying almond butter.
