Gained 6 lbs over the holiday!!! Join me!?!?! Correction day experiment!!

Here I am 3 months into p4 and up 6lbs!!!!! So I entered p4 in October and easily maintained for 2 months all the while eating pretty much what I wanted. I had to do a couple FFF days but then would drop right back down. Then Christmas came and I over did it on the sweets and have been struggling to get this extra 6lbs off. I even considered doing another round but I've decided against it in favor of correction days and possibly doing the leptin reset. I really would love some partners to do this with! Anyone else in the same boat? The last 3 weeks I've been doing 2 correction days per week with no great results. I will drop 4 lbs and then gain most of it back the next day. UGH! So this is where I'm at now...

Sat 1/21 153.6 (9lbs over) I did a FFF day on Saturday and dropped about 3lbs
Sun 1/22 150 I totally went carb crazy on Sunday
Mon 1/23 150.4 No real bounce back. Today I tried the leptin reset kinda~Ate a huge steak for breakfast and lots of protein throughout the day
Tue 1/24 150.6 Stable but was hoping to lose a couple lbs.

Still 6lbs over ldw so I'm doing a correction day today. I'm going to start tracking the results for the various correction days to see what really works and how to prevent the dreaded bounce back! I'm thinking either a FFF or an apple and cheese day today. Never tried the apple and cheese day so it might be nice to try something different. Okay, hoping I get some people to join in! I would love to be able to share with others! Thanks guys!

    Sure,

What are our correction day options??

I am in the same boat, only I'm up about 7 pounds and don't want to do another round.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

Awesome! I've just started the apple and cheese day. It is 2 apples and 2 ozs of cheese 3x per day.

These are the correction days that I know of...

    Steak day
    FFF day
    Steak and FFF combo day
    Apple and cheese day
    Shake day
    Egg day
    Chicken day
    Nut day

I'm sure there are more but I'm not aware of them all. So far I've only done 1 steak day and the rest were FFF days. On my steak day I lost 2.6 and all of my FFF days I usually lose 3-4 lbs. But man am I sick of Fage! We will see how today goes! Please give me input if you know of any other correction days! I'll try to give detailed info on what all of them entail as well

Also, I think the most important thing to a correction day is that the day after you have to eat p2 foods only. As much as you want, but only p2 foods. That way you will get minimal bounce back. That is something I have failed at miserably so far. I'm so ravenous the day after that I just want to eat everything!

The correction that takes the most fat off is a fat fast day(s). All you eat all day is macademia nuts with some kind of fatty cheese and coconut mousse. I chose real mozzarella because it has no carbs or sugar. Drink as much water as you can handle. You do this for three to five days. If it's your first time I'd suggest only three. You cannot deviate whatsoever. It puts you into ketosis immediately and most people go into heavy ketosis.

    to make coconut mousse:

get one can of Thai Kitchen coconut mousse and refrigerate it over night. After it's nice and cold scoop out the white part and leave the oily stuff at the bottom. Put white stuff into a bowl and whip with a spoon as if you were whipping heavy cream. When it gets creamy I usually switch to a whisk. After it has a nice consistency dump in 2 1/2 tbsp of Ghirardelli Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I find Hershey's lacking in this recipe) and whip that in. After it's all up in there I usually put about 4 or 5 teaspoons of xylitol but you can put as many as you need (you may need many) Stevia does not work. Don't even try it because it's awful in coconut mousse. I'll usually eat this entire thing over a day and a half or so.

What you want to do is space your fatty meals into small portions of 6 or even 7. This took that extra inch off of my waist and half inch from my thighs that I had gained.

Wow, thanks for the info! Is it super difficult? How many pounds did you lose and did you see any bounce back??

I'm half way through the Apple and cheese day and everything is good. I actually feel thinner already if that is possible So hoping for some good results tomorrow!

    Apple Cheese Day??

    How many apples?

    How much Cheese?

I could do a FFF day?

But the nut days are too fatty for me and give me gall bladder problems. I feel so porky and I want to feel thin like I used to!! : (

So far it's been pretty painless although I am super cranky so I am giving in and having a glass of wine...I don't think it will hurt me too much cuz I usually have a glass of wine on a correction day. It is 2 apples and 2ounces of cheese 3 x per day. I'm going to experiment with my dinner portion and maybe melt the cheese on the apples and see how that tastes

I would recommend the FFF for you. 32 ozs of the Fage Total yogurt. you can mix in 8 ozs of blueberries and stevia or xylitol to taste. I prefer it with the xylitol. If you have an icecream maker you can mix the yogurt blueberries and xylitol in a food processor and then put it in the icecream maker~DELISH!

Down 2 lbs after the Apple and Cheese day! So I am exactly 4 lbs over ldw. I don't think I can handle another correction day today so I'm going to eat p2 foods today and hopefully stabilize. Then maybe a FFF day tomorrow.

So my review of the Apple and Cheese day is this...not terrible but definitely not my favorite. It does have a good snack factor which is huge for me and one thing that I don't like about the steak day. I do feel like I need to be able to snack throughout the day so that can be difficult for me. I would choose the FFF day before an Apple and cheese day again.
    Have a great day!!
