Pasta, not Bacon is making you fat!

This is an awesome article by Dr Mercola that reinforces what a lot of the vets here preach. Limit carbs and eat lots of healthy fats for longterm success. Absolutely incredible article! http://healthimpactnews.com/2012/pas...makes-you-fat/

    I can only agree.
I started paleo when started P3 (well, P2 was pretty much Paleo too...)and since then I can not stop losing weight.
I eat heaps of oils, good fats, heaps of macadamias, nut meal cakes... and I am having a hard time keeping my weight as it slowly gets lower. I am eating high carb veggies now to maintain my new weight!
    It works beyond well!

Do you try to stay within a range of how much fat, cals, etc?

What range? I haven't seen it anywhere specified how much of what we can eat, except that no starches and no sugars in P3.
    Have you?
I guess the plenty of fats give a huge amount to the caloric intake, but it seems to be totally indifferent weight wise. Apparently we are getting the majority of our calories from fat anyway, but not eating starches just saves the body the glucose/insulin surge which leads to fat gain.
As a Paleo expert said: "If you consume 2000 calories from lean meats every day or 2000calories from doughnuts every day, how will your body composition be? The same?" It really puts everything into perspective.

I just followed (and still do) straight Paleo meals.
Not one day I had a problem. Cakes, muffins, all paleo, so no flour, no sugar, but amazingly tasty...
I actually slowly lost a little more weight, inspite of my efforts to eat more high carb vegetables.
    And then stopped at 55kg/121lbs.
I have no idea how many grams of carbs or protein or fat I eat, I don't track it as (it turns out) I didn't need to.
From day1 of P3 I didn't go up from LIW and now in P4 the weight seems to be on the same number every time I check it.

    I can honestly recommend it.
    It is awesome.
