Is there any benefit to staying in P3 longer? Today is day 22 of P3.

So, I think I can technically start P4 today, as I've completed 21 days of P3.
But, is there any evidence that staying in P3 an extra week or two will better "cement" your stability? Thoughts? Personal experience?

I know I never really went into P4 and I stabilized like a rock. Are you planning another Round? Also check out the Leptin Reset Threads on this Forum. Lots of people are having great success with the Leptin Reset.

    Hi Ruby.
No need for another round ... I'm down to a size 2! I only had 15 pounds to lose and they are all gone I'm currently 2 pounds over my LIW, but I'm on my TOM, so I haven't bothered to do a steak day (and I'm not MORE than 2 pounds over, just 2 pounds).
My understanding is that a Leptin Reset is if you're still overweight ... which I'm not (though I still have some tummy fat I'd like to get rid of). Do you think it's still necessary?

Jillybean- You're killing me...size 2? You are so blessed. I think I was a size 2 in kindergarten. I could go into P4 today also, but I really like eating P3 and my weight is good, I have enough energy for workouts, and I want to lose, so I haven't decided if I should eat P4 yet. I am trying foods again, like almonds and walnuts, that caused me to gain a bit in the first week of P3, just to see if I can handle them. Then I will think about P4. The only thing about P4 that excites me is the fact that I don't have to worry about meats cooked with sauces or seasonings with hidden sugar. That has been a pain! Congrats on your success! It feels great, doesn't it?

I think the general feeling around the forum is that the Leptin Reset is just plain good for long term stabilization. If you don't feel this will be a problem for you, then don't go there!

I was a 2 when i got married...3 kids ago...so I should be able to get there again wouldn't you say? Maybe, pretty please? If you go into P4, go slowly. One new thing at a time and weigh every day. And congrats on your success! I bet you look mahhhvelous.

Awww, thanks Caligirl. I'm only 5 feet tall, and small boned, so I never should have let myself get to 137 pounds. I'm now at 120 and look like I should. For lunch today, I had a vinaigrette dressing on my salad at a restaurant that probably had sugar in it ... it was nice not to worry about that. And tonight, I'm having short ribs at my favorite restaurant and I know there's sugar in that sauce. Other than that, I'm going to add more nuts in and some black beans, too. Luckily, I'm allergic to gluten and corn (and dislike rice and potatoes), so there aren't many carbs I'll eat anyways. I'm just excited about sauces, soups, seasonings (like you said!) and real dark chocolate

Ruby: I have a real problem with the BAB, since I'm allergic to eggs. So I think Leptin is out for me. But I will continue to eat mostly protein and fats and get my carbs through veggies and fruit ... and some dark chocolate and wine And thank you .... I DO look mahhhhvelous now, if I do say so myself!! LOL

wow you guys!! way to go..*sigh* I still have awhile to go but at least this time I know I will get there...I absolutely ♥♥♥ this diet...nothing has worked better for me than this...I truly can say I can see myself thin...I actually started P4 yesterday but decided that Im just going to keep eating P3 foods and like Caligirl said, I can eat sauces and dressings without worrying about it...if I go somewhere that there is foods I dont normally eat, I will splurge(to a degree) but Im not making it an every day thing...I will be off until March 19, and that is when I start round 4 ding ding...and Im really hoping and praying that I will be either close to 200 or under at the end of that round....congrats to all of you who have met your weight goal

I ate P3 for 10 months with some sugar and starch here and there but it made me gain or break out, I have gluten issues so it was easier to do P3 for life.

After being in P4 for 10mo. I decided that I'd like to lose the last 10 pounds for life, so I'm back.

I'm the same as you, 4_MyBlessings.
The teeny tiniest bit of carbs (non-fruit/veggie) make me gain, so I'm pretty much eating P3 for life.

Anytime I do eat P4 (i.e. a piece of pizza on Saturday), I'm guaranteed to do a correction day the next day. It's worth it sometimes, though.
