    HCG & lack of sleep??????

    Hi, I started the diet about a week ago. I was 225 pounds after my loading days, then After about 3 days, I dropped a dramatic 12 pounds! I was shocked and excited since this is my 2nd tine doing this diet and the first time I lost only 5/6 pounds. My problem here not is that I can't seem to lose any more weight and IRS been 3 days. I've been losing a pound a day but I have such a weird sleep schedule.. I go to bed around 12 or 1, then wake up at 4 and weigh myself at 5am and it shows that I haven't lost a pound.. But when I go back to bed and wake up 4-5 hours later and weigh myself, THEN I see that I lose weight. My question is, can lack of sleep affect the HCG diet????????? The reason for my off sleep schedule is because I take mg boyfriend to work at 5 in the morning.....


    Also, what else would make u gain weight on the diet, even when you're Doing the diet 100% correct with NO CHEAT DAYS... help? Thank you

    Not for me. I have four small children and am up during the night a lot. I do notice that sometimes when I would wake up early and weigh myself that some days I weight more and other I lose more. Just for sanity go with your first weight. And just FYI for women the average weight loss is between half and a pound a day. Hope this helps.

    I've been on diet since 2/18 so I'm still a beginner. What I have found: if I sleep alot, I lose alot(1-1.5lbs a nite, if I sleep 7 hours, I may losed .5 lb, If I get less than 7 hours, I don't lose at all and I feel terrible. I found this thread because I was interested in finding out about sleep and weight loss. If I sleep l2 hours(which is ridiculous and I do wake up alot) I lose alot, consistantly

    During sleep you actually lose water weight from exhaling and sweating. So it would make sense- the more sleep you get- the more water you are going to lose during sleep.

    Are you using the bathroom right before you weigh yourself? You can lose about 1lb of 'water' weight from peeing. (16oz of water weighs roughly 1lb).

    Make sure you keep really well hydrated- and pick ONE TIME each day to weigh yourself. You will go nuts weighing yourself multiple times a day- since because of weight gain from fluid intake and weight loss from fluid "losses" your weight can fluctuate as much as 5lbs throughout any given day.

    Pick one time- each day- and weigh yourself.
