    HHCG over 40 days?

I see that people are staying on hhcg longer than the 40/43 days. Is there a limit to how long is too long? My goal was to lose 30 lbs in 40 days, but my loss is so slow, I wonder if I can keep going past 40 days or if I should stop at 40 and do another round later. It is my preference to go longer and just do this one round. I am just coming off a very long stall in week three, but I average .5 a day (except for the stall). I'm on VLCD 29 and still have 15 lbs to go - I'd be happy with 10. I'm thinking about adding gentle exercise in these last ten days to see if that boosts the loss.

So how long do you think you can stay on the hhcg?

(I'm using 10 SL drops 3x day, no hunger, no problems - my only problem is eating enough calories!)

You should only (per Pounds and Inches Protocol) stay on NO LONGER than 43 days, OR 32lbs at a time. It is not recommended to go longer at all. You really need to take a break when you've reached either of those. Do P3 for the 3 weeks and then start another round... Also, the closer you are to your ideal/normal weight- the slower/less your losses are going to be.

So if she hasn't gotten to 32 pounds then she should be able to continue right?

I kind of have the same thing. I've lost 24.4 pounds and would like to lose 30. I'm going longer then the 40 days as well.
R1 Phase 2 - Total Lost (not including no pellet VLCD's) 30 lbs
    LPW = 141.4
    Last VLCD = 139.8
    R1 Phase 3 - Stable around 140/141

Sorry Juniper, but I think that means to stop at the 43 days. I have seen a few people on here that might go a few days over, but more than a few. I'm at day 31 now and after my stall, I've lost 3 lbs in 3 days. I will come very close to my goal if I keep going without another stall. My plan is to go ahead and stop at 43 (or 44 or maybe 45) days and go on to P3. I'll consider another round, but I'll be so close to my goal I may decide to just stabilize for a while and be happy with where I am. IF I do another round it probably won't be any time soon.

My problem is that I'm in the midst of a weight loss competition at work...the competition is 8 weeks long. I don't want the roller coaster of gains/losses of P3 during that. I'll take my chances but I think I'll be fine. And I have heard of people going longer then 40 days and not having any issues (as well as some new research that backs it up). But thank you for the reply!

You may really run into stabilizing issues by doing that. The protocol is not just the amount of days on hcg but more importantly the stabilizing phase. If you stick to P3 without going to P4 and even doing the leptin reset, you may find that you will keep losing and that you will stabilize where your body naturally needs to be. Just my two cents worth of thoughts. :-)

Are you supposed to do P3-3 weeks and P4-3 weeks? I"m on day 39 and wanted to restart after 3 weeks but read you need 6 weeks.

I'm planning to do 3 60day rounds I would go crazy if I had to do 4 of them
I've read tons and tons on this forum and see LOTS of people doing this with success on hhcg. I even saw someone doing almost 80 days successfully by the way
I believe everyone should do their homework and do what they feel is best for them.

In R1, I did a 53 day round on hhcg to lose 32 pounds and then I stabilized perfectly in P3 and P4 exactly at LPW without any correction days. I plan on doing another long round - 51 days if I can hold on that long- this time. Like Linchick, I don't think I could do 4 rounds
Tonks- you need 6 weeks in between Round 1 and Round 2. 3 weeks on P3 (no sugar or starch) and then 3 weeks on P4. Your body needs time to adjust- detox from the fat loss, re-shape (it works!), and your skin needs to adjust.

    Round 1 (53 days): - 32 pounds and 20 inches
    Round 2 (51 days): - 25 pounds and 12 1/2 more inches
