Homeopathic HCG in danger - Merdian Health Labs have completely changed

So I'm starting a new round on Dec. 31st, loading the 31st and the 1st, starting VLCDs on the 2nd. I decided to try pellets, and have heard good things about Meridian Health labs, so went to their site a couple of weeks ago and ordered their pellets, after looking at the ingredients and being sure that HCG was listed - 6X, 12X etc. It was listed, and I got my pellets (24.95 plus shipping!) in less than a week. Yesterday, I read in another thread that Meridian Health labs had taken the pellets off their site, so I tried to go and see but my IE browser would not open the site. I switched to firefox and was able to go there, but it wasn't the same site it had been barely two weeks ago. There is no more homeopathic HCG for sale there, not drops, not pellets, nothing. Instead there is "HCG alternative" drops and pellets. It is clearly stated that there is no HCG in the preparations, and the lists of ingredients no longer show HCG at all. Worried that I might have gotten the new formula since I ordered so close to the changeover I raced upstairs to look at my bottle, but was relieved to find real pellets with real HCG listed on the bottle. Since I don't have much to lose and am hoping I'll never need another round, I'm not too worried, but sad to think I might never be able to count on homeopathic HCG in the future if needed. I'm thinking that all sources of homeopathic HCG will follow suit, sooner rather than later, and I am so glad I got my pellets just in time!

I do wonder, however, if they merely changed the labeling and the drops and pellets might actually be exactly the same. Homeopathic preperations have so little of the ingredients that testing by the FDA would not show the HCG. At least until they run out of what they have already made, they might be exactly the same with a different label. But when they do run out, I'd assume they would start making them the way they are labeling them.

Has anyone else noticed a difference at their favorite HCG sites?

    R1 start weight 132.4
    LDW-121

    R2 start weight (VLCD 1) - 126.4
VLC week one - 5.4 lbs.
    VLCD 9: no loss
    VLCD 10: -.4

After staying at LDW for months, I started to let go of good habits and overindulge on sweets etc. and have gained back at least 5 lbs. (lost less than 12 to begin with so that is huge for me). Determined to lose it and then some, and stick to my Paleo way of eating with only occasional carbs.

I spoke to them yesterday (sorry for the double post here and the previous thread from yesterday)
I ordered pellets on Dec. 23rd and started freaking out as well yesterday because I just got my shipped yesterday morning. He said that they pulled the hhcG pellets and drops as of Tuesday afternoon at 2pm. No warning was given. The new drops are very similar, however CONTAIN NO hcG in them at all. Reasoning he gave was the FDA is really cracking down on selling of hcG and, while they have not be contacted per se, they made the conscious decison to pull their products and offer only the alternative from now on. All orders made prior to Tuesday were filled with the hhcg... but orders from now on, will be the alternative.

Soon enough, I'll see skinny staring back at me!

Yeah, I didn't see your thread until after I posted this - sorry!

I'm just wondering how long the other homeopathic sites will stop carrying real homeopathic hcg.

My guess is until they run out. With no distributors making the product anymore, the resellers will not have much of an option I guess.

Carriann, I am in the exact situation in that I am starting this weekend, have my Sept. bottle of meridian pellets and thought I was good to go. I literally just read about this! I think I will begin an order of rx sublinglual order from allchemist or someplace. Arg!

There are still places carrying it- the problem is that many of the manufacturers where they all get them from, have been told to stop selling it with hCG by the FDA. So my advice is to stock up from reputable companies that are still carrying it- or else switch to another method like the homeopathic patches or else risking and going with buying injections overseas unless you go to your doctor and get a legal prescription.
Forget the rest, HCG PATCHES ARE THE BEST! Click Here to get yours!

I just stumbled upon the change on the meridian health website by chance (someone else asked me where I got my hhcg pellets, and I wanted to look it up before sending her the link.....to say that I was shocked would be an understatement).

I have now just googled hcg pellets and have found that there are several other places that still sell them.....I still have enough for this current round plus one more, but since I need to lose a lot of lbs, I will probably put in an order fairly soon to make sure I get the pellets before the resellers run out of them.

Most of the places have a volume discount for bulk orders....send me a message if you're interested in sharing an order with me, maybe together we can all save some money

    R1 started 5/22/11, starting weight (post load) 291.8, LDW on 6/28/11: 254.8
    R2: started 9/15/11, starting weight (post load) 265.8, LDW on 10/24/11 221.8
    R3: started 1/2/12, starting weight (post load) 237.6 (pre-load 229), LDW on 2/5/12 202.8

Do you know of a reputable place that still sells the pellets? I always got mine from meridian and I was so bummed last night to see that they changed them. PM me if you like.
