Mentally trashed this round! I just CANNOT get into the swing of VLCD. Consequently, I've lost a little ground the last couple of days. I want to do this thing, I just cannot get into it. I am contemplating a number of things right now.
Juniper - Don't know how tall you are, but for me, it was about the 140 lb. mark when I could wear 8's. I'm short (5' 1.5"), and hippy. But, I also got some jeans from someone. They are 8's and now too big. I went to the same store to get new ones, and was still wearing 8's, so I'm just guessing they are stretched out a little from wear. Hang in there, you'll make it!
Cindy - Yay for 1 lb.
Diane - That's great. You should be able to hit goal very soon after your PI. Only 3.5 more pounds.
Llana - I agree P3 is the hardest. You have all this freedom. It's hard to stay in control so you can figure out what your body reacts to. I find it harder each round to add foods slowly. I think, that didn't bother me last round, so I can just add it. Wrong approach, but it gets harder each round.
Betsy - Good luck with your modified LR. I miss a protein breakfast the most in P2. Don't like dinner food for breakfast much, so I don't do it, but for P3/P4, yes! I don't think I'm LR based on most of the signs, so don't think I'm going to do the full protocol after I hit goal, unless I have trouble stabilizing, but I do know my normal protein breakfast (usually 2-3 eggs, 2-3 strips of bacon) will hold me 4-5 hours easy. Sometimes I have to remember to eat lunch like you say so I'm not hungry at 3-4 in the afternoon, and then it will be too late for dinner. I do more what Jeanette does.
Melissa - You'll get back in that window soon. Good decision on the dinner choice. Enjoy Willie Nelson.
Simjam - sending losing vibes your way.
Ronnie - Welcome back. What a two months!! Do you know what caused the food poisoning at least? That must have been awful. So glad hubby is on the mend. Good luck with your R5. Looks like you are off to a good start.
flychick - You seem to be stabilizing well in P3. Two more weeks to go.
AFM - Not much to report. .2 loss, official P3 tomorrow. TGIF.

Jeff - You've done so well on this. Can you figure out what's so different this round that mentally you can't do it? You don't have to share if you don't want to, it was just a question for you to contemplate. Of course if you want our thoughts, you know we're hear. Just hate to hear you so discouraged.

You know, I don't really feel discouraged. I'm just not "into" it this round. I suppose it's because I was thinking about starting the round about a week later than I actually did and at the last minute decided just to jump into P2. I think that was a mistake. I'm thinking about dropping in to P3 until the 19th which is my Birthday. I figure that gives me almost three weeks to get my mind focused on P2. I think it might be beneficial for me to do some meal planning for the next round and create a plan.
I came back to add this: I suppose there is some additional stress in life right now as well. I am not sure this is a factor, but it very well could be. I suppose if I can sort of maintain for a while on P3; I can sort through some of these external factors as well.
Barbara S - I'm 5'4 1/2 ish. But I've always had a lot of muscle mass, so I weigh heavier then I look or fit into LOL! I was wearing some of my 6's when I was in the 130's even edging into the low 140's Who knows...
Leslie - congrats on the loss! Excellent!!
Jeremy - sorry to hear you are feeling a bit out of it on this round. I guess as long as you can keep your head mostly in the game during a PI maybe you'll come back stronger after your birthday? Let us know what you decide!
AFM - Up the .6 pounds that I lost yesterday... BOO! This is my second gain since I started and I don't like it!!! I can handle a goose egg no problem, but gains are tough. Maybe if I just think of it as two goose egg days (since the .6's cancel eachother out) I'll feel better LOL! I'm keeping my chin up though! As long as I lose around 3 pounds for the week I'll be happy. Of course here comes the weekend which is always soooo much harder!!
Happy Friday everyone!!!
