Hello again!! It is so wonderful to have this board just to come too to keep focused and ask and enter questions. Today has been ok so far. I am not hungry but I feel like nibbling and it is constant , it got worse after I ate, but it is not horrible and if this is the worse part I can do this!!! I am drinking tons of water and have tea ready as well. All my lunch protein is cooked and bagged for the work week!

So happy to have you all to check in with for support and help!!

Although I still get the occasional craving 3 things helped me:
1-Spreading my drops over 3 doses instead of 2 (on some sites people take them more frequently).

2- Eating celery. Years ago I was told by a nutritionist that celery has a negative calorie effect. So if I am really hungry I eat 1 or 2 stalks and that usually does the trick. However if you are like me, if you continue nibbling, you will continue wanting to nibble.

3- Drinking 1-2 cups of dandelion tea, which helps with the kidney detox. I try to alternate my water and tea, otherwise I feel sick.

Just to clarify, the gain was from my loading days... it is so sad to gain weight on purpose!
Since I weigh in the morning I listed that as my weight for VLCD1 which was Jan. 21,2012.
This morning I started VLCD2 and listed my morning weigh in which showed a loss of 3.4 pounds.
Is this the incorrect way to list it???

Anyway, let me run something by you all. This seems weird... or is it normal for this diet? I was up earlier than normal this morning, but waited until 7am to get on the scale. It said 211.4. Well that was ok ... I lost the 2.6 pounds of loading weight. I admit, I was a little disappointed because I was hoping for a huge loss. So in my disappointment, I crawled back into bed. When I woke up at 9am I reweighed myself and the scale said 210.6 - WHAT? I checked and rechecked my scale, it is right! (and in case you are curious the extra loss is not because of action in the bathroom.)

Anyway, my day two is a bit tougher that yesterday. I feel a little hungry and have a slight headache. I feel tired. Probably due to my body's shock that it has not recieved any sugar, carbs, or fat for the past 36 hours... at least not in amounts it is accustomed to. I'll just keep drinking water and try to have a relaxing day. I have already planned my food for the rest of the day and it comes out to about 520 calories. I think this is better than having a deficit like yesterday.
    R1 (start Jan. 2012): Lost 27.8 lbs. (211.4 down to 183.6 lbs.)

    R2 Start May 5: 184.0 lbs
Loading May 5/6: gained 6.6 lbs
    May 7-13: - 9.6 lbs.
    May 14-20: - 5.0 lbs.
    May 21: VLCD15 175.0 lbs. (-1.0)

Sorry, I guess you were right about how to list the weight...I'm not sure. I was down the a.m. after loading.

As for going back to bed, I mentioned in a previous post p. 2 "In my case, I am often not at my lowest weight, 1st thing in the a.m., but by mid a.m....I must carry extra bloat overnight.", so I can relate. It may also have something to do with being more dehydrated, according to my scale, which measures fat and hydration levels.

I read on a blog that we shouldn't obsess about the actual calories in numbers, as long as we measure our food and eat it all, so the extra 20 calories are probably normal.

Good for you on the -3.4, which is more than you gained in loading so wooooooooohooooooooooooooo!!!

This is my first time doing HCG and I am using homeopathic drops. Today is VLCD3 for me and I sure hope I am over the roughest part. Day one was alright, just had the munchies. I stayed out of the kitchen and did just fine. Day 2...UGH! I got a killer headache that resulted in vomiting (sorry to be gross). So I just skipped dinner and went to bed early. This morning I have a dull headache, but already took an ibuprofen tablet inorder to keep it from progressing. I do not want a repeat of yesterday! I had an apple and 2oz of chicken for breakfast. I also took some vitamins. I am drinking water and will have tea later.

Skerd- I am amazed that you worked on the first two days of VLCD... what a trooper! What brand HHCg are you using? I have not heard about liver cleansing during this diet.

I am taking a vit b complex, potassium, calcium magnesium, and iron all drops I already had from a Naturopath. However, I don't take them all the time.

At the beginning of this round I had bad cramps and muscle spasms for a couple of days, and decided to start taking these again. Many sites say to take potassium pills to combat this, but excess potassium can be dangerous, so I decide to stick to a formula that was put together for me specifically.

I also take 2 doses of Benefibre with calcium and vit D a day since we don't consume any dairy. It is great because it is colourless, odourless and tasteless.

    Welcome BTW!

Hi the rest of you ladies, how are you today?

I am up 2 lbs. today...hopefully it is just the salt in my stir fry 2 days ago... since I asked for no oil B.

    Thumbs up Hello Group!!

I started my load days on Jan 19 & 20, so looks like I fit in with everyone else’s time frame. Daughter and I did 3 rounds of hhcg drops last year (Prof Health Products thru local health food store), lost 38 lbs (only 25 pounds from goal weight!! WHY did I stop??), kept 30 off the entire year until Oct/Nov/Dec when I got really serious about exercise (4 times a week, cardio & weights, plus a step/bench class each week) and GAINED 15 pounds over the 90 days. Talk about devastated!

We decided we needed to do another round (or two) to get our weight back down – obviously eating healthy (but not weighing food/counting calories) & killing ourselves in the gym was NOT the answer, so here I am! Yes we have to do a LOT of prep work & planning to make this program work - I usually cook for 3 or 4 days at one time - but no more than I did working out 4 or 5 times a week (and a LOT less laundry to do!)

As it has been nearly 12 months since my last round, I’m counting this as Round 1/phase 2 again. Even tho I didn’t THINK I drank a lot of caffeine, I have had severe to extreme nausea headaches as well. Not horrible today, but sure glad I planned my first 2 VLCD over the weekend.

Bobbi – how is the Green Tea thing working for you? Has anyone else noticed increased weight loss with it? I’m not fond of green tea, but I could sure get down a cup or two if it increases weight loss!

Skerd – I don’t take “regular” daily vites because the B Vitamins tear up my stomach something horrible. I do take: Old Lady progesterone, cranberry supplement, Glucosamine/Chondroitine/MSM, Vit D, a probiotic (usually after a meal – makes me nauseous otherwise - my tum is pretty sensitive to most vitamins), and my hair vitamins (that kill DHT production). So far, so good!

    R1P2 Start January 19 – 214.5
    VLCD1 – 208 (-6.5 – what a whoosh!!)
    VLCD2 – 206.5 (-1.5)

Day 2 is rough. I have a massive headache and just want to crawl into bed. But not overly hungry, so I guess that is good. I am one pound below preloading weight. So I will take that!!!! The morning weigh ins are going to be huge motivators on this journey.

How is everyone else feeling today??

Yeah... day 2 was rough for me too (posted above). Good news is day 3 is going much better! Hang in there, get some rest and be kind to yourself... don't forget to drink your water or a warm cup of herbal tea would be nice.
