    Warning About HCG Drops (homeopathic)

I'm becoming more and more concerned about the hhcg issue. I think we are seeing way more hunger issues with it than we used to which leads me to worry that the proliferation of brands out there includes a lot that are simply NOT hhcg.

This was in the news this morning: http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...iet-drugs.html

Now I strongly believe they are WRONG and that hhcg really works but it MUST be a true homeopathic remedy not something some company has cooked up to make money. So if you choose to go the hhcg route, make sure you are getting a trusted brand. Ask here in the homeopathic forum what are the best brands. Do your research!

Received this email yesterday from the clinic where I bought my first round from. It is an article from USAToday:

    http://www.usatoday.com/yourlife/fit...terstitialskip

very interesting read. Although it does also mention that hcg isn't approved for weight loss and that all the scientific studies prove it doesn't aid in weight loss when compared to people who take a placebo and eat a 500 cal diet. Don't get me wrong I love hcg but I also used to love diet pills when I could stand the side effects. I hope that hcg is more than just an appetite suppressant and we are not all harming our bodies by only eating 500 cals a day! Again don't crucify me I am not stopping or anything. Love that I am finally losing weight. But I think it is important to think/ question everything? kwim?

We've seen all that garbage that's in that article. It's so inaccurate that it's laughable. There are no side effects with hcg and it works great! But only if you have good hcg. If you are doing 500 calories without the benefit of hcg then there can be some health problems. hcg is not an appetite suppressant. It actually does release fat stores for your body to use just like in pregnancy. This is the first time in my life that my jeans fit at the hips and the waist both. I've had unbelievable reshaping and so have the more than 50 I've put on the protocol personally.

I'm just putting the warning out there to make sure you get good homeopathic if you choose to go the hhcg route.

Molly, I see you didn't lose anything the first two days of VLCD. Did you load the first two days you were taking hcg or did you just start the diet the day you started the drops? I'm not familiar with the hhcg brands but you could ask on the homeopathic thread.

My VLCD 1 and 2 were my 3rd and 4th day of HCG - I loaded on days one and two, with high fat and protein and vegetables. My TOM started I think the second day of loading, so I attributed the next 2 days of 0 loss to the after effects of TOM. If that makes sense...

My third round I used VOX pellets and they work fine. My weight loss wasn't much but I did lose inches. I had an easier time with hunger on the pellets.

Grammy like I said I do love hcg and have no side effects. Ihave tried every other diet out there and nothing else has worked like this and my losses are considerably lower than most but they are still loses. Just a little worried about my brother who was close to 500 lbs when starting. He is doing great almost at 25 lbs in like 13 days! He is so happy because this is the only thing that has worked for him and he is not hungry. But he does complain he has no energy to do anything. I told him to up his protein at bit. He is doing a 40 day round. Do you think that might be too long for him? He is 52, has diabetes and high blood pressure (which he is medicated for) I just don't want him to lose any heart muscle but seriously 500 lbs is going to kill him anyway if he doesn't do something about it. I just don't want to be the one to steer him in the wrong direction.

Does anyone know of someone who had that much weight to lose and did so safely long term on hcg?
