An idea for phase three is to use Atkins. The newest edition includes many more vegetables and fruits than the earlier editions. There are also recipes on the Atkins website. Personally for me I have found the simplier I keep my diet the more success I have. Another idea is the Paleo diet that was mentioned on this forum a few weeks ago. I really just eat meat, vegetables (not potatos, corn, or carrots) and eggs. I stay away from all sugar (I rarely miss it) but will have a bite of something for a special occasion, and stay away from bread unless in a pinch--like our road trip a few weeks ago. I dont really miss it it is just tricky going out to eat because everything seems to include a starch or flour in the sauce. I am going to start researching low glycmic carbs and work on adding some of those into my diet.
