    Blood Work and Cosmetic Surgery

Now that I have lost all this weight, I have a lovely, Playboy worthy apron of skin that sags off my abs. I am going in for a tummy tuck consult on March 1st. I also have a doc appt(yearly physical) on Feb 27th. I'm assuming my last 5.6 pounds will be gone by then and I will be on P3....BUT, how will being on this diet and losing 50 pounds in under a year effect my blood work? Especially just having come off a long P2?

Are there any diet specific worries indicated for surgery? Besides maintenance obviously....

    R1 Lost 23.3lbs.
R2 = Wash...Lost a bunch, was BAD and gained it back.
    R3 Start 161.8
    LDW - 141.8
    P3D1 - 140.2 TOM
    P3D2 - 139.8 TOM
    P3D3 - 139.2 TOM

If the surgery is well into P3 you should be fine, and most people find their blood work is great after losing weight. Any surgery will cause a bit of inflammation so you might gain a few lbs after the sx. Congrats on the losses!

I would not get a tummy tuck until you have been at goal a while. You've done 3 rounds and it takes about 12 weeks for your skin to adjust on its own and your weight to settle.

Thanks!! As far as timing I'm thinking end of March - mid April. By then my weight should be fairly stabilized, right? I know that with swelling will come some water weight.

My main concern is how will this diet & stress I've put my body thru effect the healing process??

Grammy - I'm freakin out a little this am. Maybe I'm doing it wrong now, but I've been skippng my fruit and adding the extra 100g of protien. Reporting slow losses again, and then this morning 1.8 pounds gain!!!!! WTH?! No cheats yesterday, unless you count the garlic bread I was undressing with my eyes, lol! No cheats, no new seasonings. Yesterday I had:
    10 spears of asparagus
200g chicken baked w/ a squirt of braggs
    3c lettuce
    juice of 1 lemon
    squirt of braggs
    200g cod

Day before that was much the same, no fish, just chicken.

    Thanks!!

Braggs makes many of us gain. It's soy and LOADED with sodium.
