Yay, thats great! I do okay even eating two meals a day, breakfast, then an early dinner around 3 or 4. What time did you eat your breakfast?

Good going Cowgirl! When I am doing the P3 Leptin Reset, I eat the BAB, then if I am hungry I eat a small salad at lunch & have coffee with cream. I'm usually not hungry then, sometimes a little hungry closer to dinner so I try and hold off until then. Dinner is any kind of meat or seafood, veggies, and finish with a piece of fruit. Fall weather is starting to set in here, crockpot stews, soups, etc... sound good.

On another note: I am a gramma again! My son & DIL had their baby last night. I'll be heading to Colorado in a few weeks to meet him in person. Wahoo!

    GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good thing I went back a few pages to catch up on the August Loader Thread. I want in with all you guys here!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to go back and read the first few pages still to see where the conversation is going.
I am half way into week three on P3 and am struggling somewhat. My LDW is 160. Two days ago I went to 163.8 and did a steak day very successfully getting to 160.4. Yesterday, and this morning back to 163.4. What's up with that I ask?????
Also, I continue to struggle with the bathroom. Can't get regular.
My BIG FEAR???? I'm going on a 4 day cruise Monday. I am totally commited to LC eating and will request things w/o sauces, double veggies etc. and I'm not a dessert person either (except my new addiction to coco crack ..LOL). I will do a steak day Sunday so I can get even before we go on Monday.
I am planning my second round in Oct.

    Any suggestions gang?????????

    Big cudos to everyone's successes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time commitment for meals? You mean breakfast? That's the only time commitment. What have you been eating?

Out of curiosity, are there any guidelines (symptoms) to knowing you are in fact leptin resistant? Jack Kruse's website says that if you're more than 30 lbs overweight or 20 lbs underweight you're probably leptin resistant, and mentions the HS CRP and reverse T3 blood tests. Would I learn anything from my regularly tested T3 numbers?

I used to be overweight, but thanks to hCG I'm not anymore! And I have to say, I feel like this last round I didn't lose much weight, but I lost it in all the right places! ^_^

    R3: P2 8/14 - 9/12 2011; 169.5# - 146.5 (23 lbs lost!)
(There may be a round 4, most likely in early 2012)

Grammy - I ate breakfast around 8. Not hungry at all...although bored and would like some tea or coffee. Do I need to restrict these drinks to just meal times then? And, drink water only in between meals? I drink my coffee and tea black, so no calories.

Lisa- Congrats on being a grandma! How exciting! What a wonderful time for your family. When you say a small salad, what do you have? Do you have protein with it or just veggies?

So far today, I've had 1.5 tbsp cocoa crack and 8 oz. flat iron steak. I cut up all veggies for the week, so I have sliced radishes and zucchini and riced cauliflower...so should I have one of these for lunch with a salmon filet? Or skip the filet and wait for supper? I have a pot roast with garlic and onions in the crock pot for supper. Going to save the big chickens for tomorrow when my in-laws are in town. Sorry for all the thorough hand-holding I'm asking for. Just scared to overdo it in these first couple days. Last p3 I had to do a steak day on day 2 and the rest of my stabilization was a disaster!

On a side note, I feel content and full. It's hard not to snack, but I think that's where I get myself into trouble anyway with extra calories and things I don't need like fruit, almond butter and cheese. I think sticking to 3 meals/day will make it easier to stick to meats, fats and veggies for now.

Doxie - Have fun on your cruise. I always went back up 2 days after a steak day, too. Not sure what's up with that. Interested to see what the pros have to say.

For maintenance, I highly recommend the leptin reset, coupled with a paleo/primal outlook on life!

I put a little chicken, tuna or salmon on the salad. Most days I just don't feel too hungry for lunch, so it's just a little something if I choose to eat it.

Is it necessary to only eat 2 meals/day? I think mentally, I like 3/day. Does it matter if lunch is super small and you have a heavier protein supper?

You can do 3 meals a day, or 2, whichever works best for you.
