Hello! I'm on my 3rd round. My first round was 38 days followed by a full P3 and 3 months of P4 and I stabilized great. My second round was 30 days followed by P3 and then P4 but I didn't pay attention to my weight (kind of took stabilization for granted after round 1), so I unfortunately gained a lot of the weight back, even from R1(
I tried other ways to lose weight, but nothing was successful and I felt "addicted" to the rapid progress of hcg. So now I am back for my 3rd, and hopefully final round. I am on VLCD day 22 and am down 16 lbs from my pre load weight. I am doing the hhcg, and was originally planning to just keep going (I'd like to lose another 30+ lbs), but mentally I don't think I'll last that long. My losses have slowed, and I've had a couple stalls, so at this rate it would be the end of June before I got to my goal. So, I'm thinking of trying a planned interruption/cycling just to get over the mental hurdle. I'm concerned about doing P2 for too short of a time between P3s, so I'll do at least 23 days each time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, when you get back into P2, do you just start the VLCD the same day you start taking your drops again, or do you do you start the drops 2 days prior? I don't plan on loading in between.
Thanks!
I stabalized great after my first round and I know what i messed up on my second round so I'm not worried about not stabilizing. I read on the cycling boards that not everyone does a full P3 when cycling. Is that not correct?
It is true that not everyone does 3 weeks of P3 when cycling--Jenni recommends doing 3 & 3.
I'm a bit confused, tho... you said you are doing your 3rd and hopefully final round, but want to cycle to get your head where it needs to be. If this is your last round, I'd also suggest doing a full--and final--round. The reason I say this is to make sure you stabilize, "pay attention", and maintain in P4 (the not paying attention comment from your first post is what worries me). Maintenance is the key to success... losing weight is just the first step. I'd say power through it and get it over with... why prolong when you're so close?![]()
Think thin thoughts and it will become your experience.
I would love to be able to push through and just get it over with, but I can't wrap my head around continuing P2 for another 60+ days. I'd like to take a bit of a break (just P3 foods), but don't want to draw out the whole process by doing P4 if it's not absolutely necessary.
Then finish your current P2, go into P3 for however long you feel is necessary to stabilize and get your head where it needs to be. If you need more than 3 weeks in P3--assuming you stabilize--consider trying some P4 foods to see how you do. Otherwise cycle back to P2 when you're ready. Just remember to make your last round a full round. Deal?![]()

I might want to try this after my current round is over. Not until August or so - a nice long break. So is it reasonable to load, do P2 for 2 weeks, P3 for one week, then back and forth? And if so, would you inject for 11 days, then VLCD for 3, then P3? I've always been confused about how you inject when you're cycling.
So 3 weeks of P2 followed by 3 weeks of P3?
