Has anyone else experienced their friends and family giving you crap about this diet? They are telling me that I am starving myself and that I am going to cause permanent damage to my body or die. What do I say to them??
Broccoli is not on the original protocol. That being said alot of people do eat it. So use at your own risk. I eat it.

Its hard I know.I didnt tell anyone last time except my daughter ,she was doing it with me. Unless someone reads the whole protocol they dont understand. I did that to my daughter to at first when she started.But i read it and watched her lose and jumped on the wagon LOL. Hope you can make them understand..........

Woohoo!!! Love reading the morning updates of pounds released!!! Way to go everyone!! As for me, I was shocked at the scale this morning. I was preparing myelf for a small loss after VLCD1 yesterday because of this stupid cold (and I keep reading how weighloss stalls when you're sick) but I was down 3.2 pounds from my loading weight!!! My next goal is to be lower than 180.8, which is my lowest weight from last month when I was dieting and working out.
I'm still quite hungry first thing in the morning, so I think I'll send Grammy a message tomorrow if it happens again. Do you all think my dose could be too low since I'm hungry in the morning but it seems to get better by the afternoon?

Down another .9lbs this morning!! However, yesterday was my worst day so far. I was physically exhausted, hungry and light headed all day. I did cut out all fruit except 3oz strawberries for dressing, and both grissini. Today I'll add the fruit and grissini back in and see if that's the difference. I also couldn't sleep, even though I was exhausted, I got 3.5 hours sleep last night.
Kelsey Miyake - I have had a few family members voice their concerns about this diet. I told them if two of my Doctor's think its safe, then all I need from them is support and if they can't do that then avoid talking about it.

Here is my VLCD8, if anyone is interested
8:45-9:00 16oz Vanilla spice energy tea with peppermint stevia.
9:05am HCG shot
9:10 16oz water with 2 Tbsp ACV and vanilla stevia (drank quickly)
10:00 Blood pressure meds, ibuprofen, and multivitamins
10:00-11:00 16oz every day detox with cinnamon stevia
11:00-12:00pm 16oz water with 1 Tbsp AVC and lemon stevia
12:00-2:00pm 16oz water with 1 Tbsp ACV and English toffee stevia
1:30-1:45pm 2.5 cups romaine lettuce, 3oz strawberries (made into dressing) , 3oz chicken 193 cal
2:30-3:30pm 16oz sparkling water with root beer stevia
3:30-4:30pm 16oz sparkling water with root beer stevia
4:30-5:30pm 16oz smooth move tea with peppermint stevia
6:15 3.4oz top sirloin, 1 peeled cucumber. 222 cal
6:30-8:00pm 16oz sparkling water with stevia
8:30-10:00pm 16oz sparkling water with stevia
10:30pm 16oz sleepy time tea with peppermint stevia
VLCD8 -4.1 (1st weigh-in in 5 days. Ave .8 per day)
VLCD18 -4.6 (1st weigh-in in 10 days. Ave .46 per day)
Round 1, I had a 2 week level off, and finally figured out I'm sensitive to strawberries, ACV, & cabbage. I stopped eating them and had a loss everyday after. (I sure wish I would have figured it out earlier). Round 2 I have had continuos losses.
