    Start your pellets on load day 1. Don't focus on the carbs so much but the FATS. Lasagna and chef boyardee are more carbs than fats. Think fettucini alfredo (or other pasta with cheese sauce), bacon cheeseburgers, cheesecake, chocolate cake, creamy soups, etc...

    I heard if you don't load on your "fatty" foods properly, then you may be hungry the first few days of your 500 VLCD and may be tempted to cheat because you're hungry - it takes a few days for the drops to take effect.

    I personally overwhelmged myself and spent way to much time cooking my favorite foods and not enough eating. I nibbled here and there and by the time the second day was over, I was just so very glad to be able to start the VLCD! Don't cheat yourself on your load days. It's a phase for a reason. I'm on my 4th day of VLCD and so far so good!

    Well, today was day 2 of loading, and I didn't feel like eating, but did anyway. I woke up with a migraine, first one I've had in some time, and I'm pretty sure it's because I ate stuff that would trigger one in me. What was I thinking?

    I went to the store and got ready for tomorrow's menu: first VLCD.. scary how little 100g of meat (raw) is before cooking! Wow! I hope I feel well on the diet, it's very little food and not much variety. I also had a lot of trouble finding fat-free lotion at the grocery store, even though they have a pharmacy inside. I will go to a drugstore tomorrow for that. Wish me luck, I'm nervous!

    SO .. i woke up this morning very hungry unlike yesterday...

    the 1st vlcd I lost: -6
    2nd vlcd I lost: -1 .. I was hoping the number was going to be bigger... I just brought organic vegetable broth so I can try to make onion soup or chicken meatball soup or something... I made little hamburgers last night.. and laid them out on my slices of tomatoes... yummy.. I just wish the 3 patties hadn't been the size of cucumbers.. but I guess thats why I am here!

    coconutt- 6lbs is pretty dang good for the first day! i think the most ive lost on day was was just over 3lbs!

    AFM: Today is Day 1 of loading! Im much lookin forward for this weight to come off!

    So this is my second time to do the HCG Diet. The first time I did it with drops and with a Nutristionist. I lost about 28lbs and I have about 40lbs to go. I ordered pellets and I am going to do it on my own this time. Tonight I took my first pellets and I was wondering if anyone else had issues with keeping those darn pellets under your tong for 5min? They did dissolve fairly quickly but they got smaller and I began to loose them in my month haha. Anyway if anyone has advice on the pellets I love to hear it.

    I was so nervous, too, Annette! But, just try and trust the system and you'll be so very happy you did. Give it three days, you'll see!

    I'm on VLCD4 and have lost 7 pounds so far! Unbelievable. I was so scared on loading days that I'd just add more weight, as other diets have not worked great for me. But, this is fantastic and I'm so encouraged!

    I was a bit nervous yesterday as I felt pretty hungry at night, but I just rode it out and 20 minutes later, I was fine. I find it's VERY helpful to plan out your diet a day ahead. I just keep a diet log and write in there what I intend to eat the next day. That gives you some control and I believe in the power of intention, so it's almost a no-brainer.

    I'm really challenged as I have a whole houseful of people who eat a wide variety of stuff, especially my skinny kids who love their choc. chip cookies!! I thought I'd test myself and went to the store last night to pick them up some snacks. WELL...

    The store had a deal on their cookies: buy one bag, get one free. So, I picked them up and this kindly-looking old guy popped up from behind the bakery case with a freshly baked choc chip cookie. He was shoving it toward me, saying, "Ohhh, this is a good batch! Have one." O.M.G.

    As he waved it around in my face, I could SMELL the sugar and chocolate, and fleetingly wondered if I could gain weight from the aromas!

    I smiled and said, "Well, you don't look like the Devil, but you surely do talk like him!" He laughed and said, "One cookie won't hurt ya!" O.M.G.

    I politely declined and thanked him for testing my resolve. Then, I very quickly got the hell away from that guy!

    Now, I'm a full-fledged believer in hcg! I am nothing else but a cookie junkie, and I walked away from that situation feeling SO proud and powerful, too!

    do i have to load in between rounds?

    I am a complete idiot and wasted my drops because I didn't screw on the cap right do I have to load before I open and start the next bottle???
