Good Morning, This will be my 4th full round, I will start loading today. I've pretended to do a couple of other rounds but just didn't have my head in the game. With the full 3 I've done before, I lost aprox 50lbs. I am excited for this to be my last. I really have a hard time in P3. My mom says because I don't eat enough, I don't know. After the last round, I began to run and gained 15 pounds back. That was discouraging but kept telling myself "muscle weighs more than fat." My size hasn't really changed with the gain, some but not a lot. I don't like feeling my body slosh after I do something. My goal is 20 pounds this time, but really if weight wise I don't make it, I just want my "skinny jeans" to be loose. With the hcg, it reshapes as well as eliminates the weight. I am hopeful this time.

Andrea - it's a tough thing to balance. True muscle DOES weigh more so you're totally on the right track to monitor your size instead of pounds, to an extent.
If it helps, here's my experience - on my first round, I ended a few days ahead of schedule despite having a GREAT initial round -- I got cute with it and tried to get back to the gym to spin class which I really love doing. Well, my appetite went completely nuts and I seriously felt like a drug-junkie, stuffing food in my mouth like I had a true, and severe, eating disorder. It was like I was crazy. I recognized the connection with intense exercise and so I just ended the round and went to P3 right away and I was able to settle in to a really good P3/4, lost a couple overall from LIW. I ate a lot during P3/4 but really restricted the starches and had no bread at all (gluten intolerant).
I have always been a runner, spinner, weight lifter so it was hard to drop back to just walking. At first. Then I started liking not having to shower twice a day, not having to plan the hour and a half for the gym....and I was terrified I'd lose that connection to exercise if I kept it up too long. So that's why I pushed it at the end. I think it's really critical, for me anyway, to find a balance between killing myself at the gym and being a slug. I love working out so I will continue to do so but I'm not going to break any speed records, and I won't keep watching the numbers on the spin bike like an obsessed crazy person - when I get back to it this time I'm going to keep MODERATION in mind and do 30 minute instead of 60 minute classes, and I'm toying with the idea of giving up running in favor of walking. I honestly don't love running and when I do long runs my eating really gets out of control.
Anyway enough about me - just wanted to share that for some reason there might be a point of diminishing return with heavy, intense exercise, if you have appetite issues to begin with. Just keep it in mind if things don't run exactly as expected.

Well, the frequent bathroom trips yesterday and overnight translated into a four pound drop today!!! I am so glad - that gets off the last of the Christmas weight. Now I know I've got the "real" poundage left which will come off slower - but at least today getting dressed, my regular clothes feel good. Not in the size 8's I had bought at the end of R1 but they will still be there in 4 weeks when I'm ready for them!
Happy Losing, Everybody!!
Good Morning Everyone! Wow EyeDoc ~ I wish I dropped 4 lbs on vlcd 1... Instead I only dropped 2.2lbs which is still good. I will be happy when I start getting below 195 which was my lowest p3 weight.
I also have a pair of jeans I cannot wait to get into ~ They are 13's ~ I am hoping they are TOO big by the end of this final round.
ugh, only down .2 today. I'm thinking it must have been that taco salad. Boooooo, it was so delicous!I think I'll still have one once a week because I'm already craving, lol. Today I'm sticking to chicken and single veggies. Hopefully it'll help my body 'catch up'!
Cherie - I have PCOS too and your story is exciting to hear! I have the same problem you did, and I'm hoping to acheive the same results as you!Did you find that your weight loss was/is slower than average due to the PCOS? I have such a hard time losing weight, even with hcg.
