    It is actually very important to Load. Your body will need the extra fat during the first days of taking the HCG so that your body starts to get used to burning fat while on the low calorie diet. It will help to reduce any hunger pains, stress or anxiety that your body will for sure go through. Their may be a point where you have used up the extra fat and may experience this but remember to be strong and it will eventually go away. I had that happen on the third day of VLCD but after that day I never felt like that again. So load load load! The more fat the better. Try not to freak out when you notice that you gained weight, you WILL lose it again. This is my second round and I already gained a few pounds(more like 5) but today Im on VLCD1 so im not too worried about it.




    Started HCG at 203lbs.
    Round 5 planning this short round of 3 or 4 weeks.
    Preload 166.4
    week 1: lost 4.6lbs wt 161.8
    week 2: lost 4.4lbs wt 157.4
    week 3: Lost 0...stupid stall for 7days.
    week 4: lost 3 lbs. LIW 154.4
    Total lost = 12lbs. in 4wks

    Is this normal?

    Is it normal to gain almost 5 # in just one day of loading? I know that I ate a lot of crap, but I read that I was supposed to do so. I'm scared to get on the scale in the morning b/c I'll probably have gained another 5 # on my second day of loading...

    I feel the same way. The first day I ate mostly potato salad and spaghetti. Yesterday I ate pizza, potato salad, payday candy bar, milk, eggs and ham. I was so full I couldn't eat any more. So I think that I ate mostly carbs and my concern is that I didn't eat enough fat. I was wondering if I should load one more day with fried chicken and stuff like that or was that enough?

    Hey! I'd love to join your group if you'll have me. I started loading May 2nd. Today will be my 2nd day of vlcd. I'm down 3lbs as of weighing myself this morning and couldn't be more excited about it. I know it won't keep dropping that fast but it's really encouraging to see results so fast.

    I am wondering if chia seeds and barley life are allowed on this diet. I thought the chia seeds would help with the blood sugar and I already eat them anyway. Also the green drink giving me energy and reducing hunger. can they be replacements? they are also low in calories.

    goatlady- I would stay away from chia seeds and barley since they are grains which are not on the authorized food list.

    Today is my VLCD1 of 3rd round. I am glad to find a group starting right around the same time. A quick history of my HCG journey: I had a successful R1 losing 30# in 56 days of VLCD (I extended it). I maintained very well for 7 months. When the weight started creeping after the holidays I elected to do a short round instead of doing some correction/strict P3 days which is what I SHOULD have done. I lost 15# and got down to a record low weight. My appetite then became unmanageable as my body must have lost muscle and was absolutely starving. I subsequently gained 25# back in 2 months. Needless to say I will never do that again. I also think the HCG was bad or my dosage was off because I was starving and never looked into adjusting my dose. I take rx HCG sublingually.

    Even though I have only had 2 days of HCG I feel my appetite is gone. This is amazing to me since I was so hungry all the time for the past 8 weeks and I could not get it under control. I pray it continues throughout this round. I plan to do a long round. The only rogue things I am trying this time is using my sugar-free french vanilla creamer in my coffee. If my losses seem unusually small I will cut it out. I will also be drinking Crystal Lite and will also watch the scale.

    I plan to lose 20# and maintain around 125. I can't wait to get back there since none of my clothes fit right now. I should be done mid-June so by the official start of Summer I will (we all will be!) good to go and have fun in P3 for the rest of this Summer.

    Barley life is the juice of young barley plants it is not the grain itself and the Leaf Greens are the juice of barley, bean, pea, spinach leaf juice and broccoli sprouts. Do you think it would hurt with using the juice. I don't know if anyone here is familiar with these products. They are from AIM. I am just looking to see if this would be ok. These are all juices of the plants not the grain of the plants. Thanks for your answer and I hope this doesn't sound offensive. I appreciate any info or advice on this subject. I am sooo new to the hcg. Thanks!!!

    I am also looking for the support! I am glad there is a group like this. I also read that the hcg doesn't kick in until the 3rd day. Has anyone else seen that?
