Hi all! Tomorrow is day 1! Load, load, load! I plan on having Tim Horton's bagel w/cream cheese, a boston cream donut, and a french vanilla cappuchino. I'm having lunch at a great Greek restaurant for my favorite Chicken Lemon Soup, tons of Garlic Hummus, yummy pita bread, and probably rice pudding or baklava (take home?). I'll probably work pizza in there for dinner before going to an OSU football game in the evening. God help the fool that tries to tackle me in jest! Day 2 may include Bob Evans for breakfast if I can get out of bed, a homemade fruit smoothy with yogurt, loaded potato skins, or ice cream. I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Cheeky, thank you for the information. I AM NOT ORGANIZED! I love your idea about premeasuring the protein. Keeping things frozen and ready to go (veggies too!) will be my savior. Anyone hear of Dream Dinners? They have whole meals combined in bags/containers and ready to throw in the oven. Anyone that has ideas for single-ready to cook meals (stir-fry, bake, grill, etc.) please do share. Keep posting your great ideas Cheeky!

You guys also talked about hair and beauty products. I already use Bare Essentials make up. Minus the mascara I love this product and recommend it to anyone. I will have to give up my Buxom lip gloss though. Maybe it is for the best. It is a bit pricey. My hair may be a problem. I'm still recovering from the severe iron anemia and my hair definitely suffered from it. I've been using WEN hair products that contains a lot of oils but it is the only thing that keeps my hair from becoming straw. How's the Bumble & Bumble Seaweed shampoo and conditioner working out?

Well, I better get to bed. My journey begins tomorrow and I have a lot of work (eating) to do!

p.s. I'm trying to post a pic but I can't get it to work.

Callie-Awww, you're welcome! More tips: I bought the smallest George Foreman grill at Target ($17) and it was a good investment. It's kind of a pain to clean, but since I don't have a bbq, it is great for cooking without oil. I'd be careful of Dream Dinners unless you are preparing it yourself because it could have no no ingredients in those meals. Their spices may not be pure and could therefore sabotage your diet. After I eat my dinner, I cook my lunch and dinner for the next day and I'm ready to go the next morning. In the AM, I take out 2 portions of protein from the freezer and they are defrosted by the time I come home from work. You should look at recipes on this forum or buy one of the HCG cookbooks. My favorite thing so far on this diet is the Orange Julius slushie! 1 peeled orange, a few ice cubes, 5 drops of Sweet Leaf Valencia Orange stevia drops and 5 drops of Sweet Leaf Vanilla Creme stevia drops. A few seconds in the blender and viola! It is so yummy and tastes exactly like an Orange Julius! I do not do diet sodas at all (hate the aftertaste) and could only do a few flavors of Crystal Light before, so I am picky, but this slushie is delish! Too bad we can't have more per day! I have it as my breakfast to take my vitamins with. Tomorrow I will try a variation with strawberries instead!

Have fun loading and remember to focus on the fats, not the carbs-fats are more important!

The Bumble and Bumble Seaweed Shampoo/Cond are ok and will do for now. So many shamp/conds have oil in them that it is hard to find high-end brands without oil.

The orange julius slushie sounds delish! I will add it to my list to try this week. Great idea for breakfast.

I was just wondering if anyone had meal prep ideas like Dream Dinners. You know, meal in a bag (with veggie) but for HCG single meals. If I could make a few different meals and pop them in the freezer meals would be a breeze! I have found a lot of recipes here on the forum that sound great. Maybe I can try some of them Dream Dinner style and see how they turn out.

Good advice on watching the carb/fat loading. I was thinking in terms of saying goodbye to old favorites. I'll have to rethink my plan a little. Gurrr!

Hey everyone.. I started on wednesday and just had my first VLCD day today. This is R2 for me and I am excited! I am hoping it goes well because I've heard R2 is HARD! Today was pretty painless though. I can only hope the rest of VLCD goes this well.

Question for you guys: are you eating both fruits? I had 2 apples today (not at the same time) and for some reason, I'm feeling a little guilty. In R1, near the end I tried not to eat my 2nd fruit but I was just craving that other apple today!

Anyway, I hope to get to know you all better! Have a good night and good luck on the scales!

Hi Katie, I am just starting R1D1 so my comments are just opinion and not experience! However, I do feel fruit is important for fiber and nutrients. I read on the forum that if you omit something you should increase your calories in protein or maybe veggie to reach 500 calories. I also read that some eat the other fruits instead of apples but I don't know why. Are you thinking that you will lose more if you skip the fruit?

Hi - I'm on my 2nd load day for R2. In R1 I often skipped the second fruit, and usually the bread. I'm gluten sensitive, so I ate rice crackers when I did eat the bread, and just preferred the extra protein over the fruit. When I did eat both though I never did 2 apples or 2 oranges or combo of those. I would make one fruit strawberries or grapefruit, the other the apple/orange because of the higher sugar content in apple/orange. But, I am also sugar sensitive. You'll find out on the scale if 2 apples is too much for you. Good luck on your second round. Looks like you are pretty close to goal. Guess you've read everything that says the last pounds come off slow? So just be prepared and hang in there.

Day 2 of loading for R2. Yesterday I ate bacon and eggs for breakfast; FFF yogurt for lunch, with fruit; guacamole, olives, almonds for snacks, a big steak, with salad and grilled veggies for dinner and peaches and ice cream for dessert. BARF!!! Oh and wine! Added it all up - almost 4000 calories. Gained .8. Totally thrilled with that, but could really not eat all day today I'm sure. But, that's not the point of load days. Looking forward to VLCD starting tomorrow. Happy loading all, and for those of you already in VLCD, happy losing.

Hey guys! Hope you all had a successful day yesterday. I was happy to wake up to a 3 lb. loss! So excited to be back in the mix of things! I'm hoping the losses continue like this at least a little longer!

Thanks for your advice on the fruit. I plan on doing 2 fruits for a while (no melba) but I am going to make sure to have at most 1 high sugar one a day (apple/orange) and use strawberries or something for the other one.

@Barbara: ya, I have heard that about the last pounds. I'm expecting R2 to be pretty tough regardless, since that is what I've heard from a lot of people. I am just going to try and get off the last few pounds and hopefully stabilize for the rest of the 30-43 round by adding more protein when I hit my goal.

Well, good luck today everyone! Hope you all have great losses!
