I am doing the second round of this program. I'm a vegetarian and I did the first round while on retreat and basically just trying to eat what was available. I mixed vegetables then. Lost 20 pounds. Can I hear if this mixing really makes a difference? For instance, I have sauteed spinach, a bit of scallion, and mushroom in PAM. Should it just be spinach? Or roasted brussel sprouts with spinach? Or spinach with a few baby tomatoes. Not good? OK? I'd like to hear people's experiences. Thanks.

Another question: are we supposed to vary the proteins every day? I have 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese for part and then 1/2 cup unsweetened soymilk --and with this I blend fruit for a smoothie. Should I be trying to have other proteins or is this ok?
