    Question New to Forums and HCG - please be gentle! ;-)



    Greetings, all.
    I found this forum a few days ago and have been trying to read everything that is relevant and important before posting.

    I would really prefer to use non-meat items for my protein source, and have read a number of the posts in this group, but still have a couple of questions.

    - Some of the MSF and Quorn products are breaded, esp the chick'n. Does anyone use these in P2 or P3??
    - Does anyone use TVP? If so, do you have any favorite recipes to share??
    - Has anyone gone through a cycle non-veg and a cycle veg and how did the weight loss compare? I know P&I says vegetarians will lose slower, but it was also written 50 or so years ago. Just wondering if the foods we have now and in North America would change any of that.

    I hope I'm not asking something that was answered 100 times already. As I said, I did try to find as much as possible, but these forums are quite extensive.
    Everyone here seems really amazing, and I hope to not make too much of a fool today!

    I use those in P3. During P2 I use cottage cheese, 1 egg and egg whites, Gardein frozen veggie patties, and sometimes Morningstar or Boca patties. They don't cause me to gain, but everyone is different. I also use Pure Protein whey protein powder - works great and delicious!

    Hey MLynne--and welcome:
    I use no breaded soy--ever. Carb-protein ratio too unfavorable.
    I have used TVP occasionally in P4 (maintainance, after 3 weeks no starch no sugar). You have to limit it because the carb-protein ratio is too unfavorable.
    I've never broken my vegetarianism to test the theory, but my per-round losses stack up to the average.

    I sure needed answers when I started and found them here--glad another veggie is aboard!
