I would say that quinoa is far too high in carbs for the HCG diet.
For 100g (uncooked) quinoa, you use up 368 kcals with 64g carbs just to get 14g protein.
In comparison, 100g nonfat cottage cheese is 72 kcal, 6.6g carbs for 10g protein.
Wondering if anyone has tried using Quinoa for a protein substitute. I know it's a grain and grains are not on Dr. S's protocol, but I'm just wanting to try and give myself as many options as possible.
